Hi all, my application was received on January 30th. I just called IRCC, and it is now in progress. Does it mean it will not be returned?

Jan 30th here as well. Looks like there are quite a few applications that were received in the last week of Jan. Assuming everyone was rushing to get the apps in before the expiry of the OWP program (which was later extended).
Looking forward to 29th/30th/31st AORs come in!

Keep checking yours and your partner's mail. AOR should be there soon.

When am checking my application Status showing like that ,what is it means please any one received like that after medical?

1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 9, 2019.
2. We sent you medical instructions on March 6, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
3. Medical results have been received.

Hello,

I would say you shouldnt have to worry soon, considering you are right in the time frame to get your OWP in a couple of weeks. If you dont hear anything by the beginning of April, I'd suggest then applying for your visa extension.

Thanks a lot for your reply. Yes fingers crossed to get the OWP this week. I have my forms ready for extension ready, so will send them by April start. Also I'm unable to link my application online. is it mandatory to link, if not will it effect my application?

WOW!! FINALLY MY APPLICATION IS LINKED ONLINE.

I used the following,
- Application no and family name (ALL CAPS)
- Passport details
- Province details
- Total applicants I selected 2 (me and my husband)

Herein I have one question - -- - In detailed info I have no info on my OWP so DO I HAVE TO SEPERATELY LINK MY OWP?? IF YES HOW ? Can someone guide on the same.

yes, you should link OWP separately.. sometimes you can link immediately but mostly its taking people up to 3 to 5 days after they get AOR to link their OWP application.

Sub-category: Work Permit and Extension

Use UCI and Family Name (PA)

Enter Passport Information

Details of intended work in Canada
Type of Work Permit: Open (Initial Application or Extension)

Personal Information:
↳ Current Country of Residence: Canada

↳ Which situation applies to the applicant: Applied for permanent residence as a spouse or common-law partner in Canada

Hey! My app was received on 17th Jan, AOR - 8th March. I was able to link my OWP application on Thursday and the status is submitted. I haven't received any email. In how many days should I expect it to be approved, if everything’s ok? Anyone else with app received date Jan 17th, who could link their OWP today or received any email about it?

I got PR AOR on March 9th and linked OWP on March 15th, they say "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements." not sure when status will get updated. Some of them got OWP approved in a day or two I guess. Just waiting for now.

they did not ask for my medicals yet. am not sure if I will be asked..some of them got OWP approved without medicals. Just waiting now

I know its frustrating.. I received my AOR on 7th Mar and got it linked today so keep your fingers crossed and try again and I pray you will get it.
