Hello Rennie,

1. For which stream you applied?
2. It is a bit strange that the status has not changed. It's nearly 2 months for your case.
3. Here are the status : "Submitted" >> "Assessment" >> "Decision under Progress" >> "Approved / Refused"

Taking my situation (French-Speaking - FSWP),

- I submitted on 15th February 2019 (you should get a notification email about confirmation).
- Status changed to "Assessment" on 5th of March 2019 (you should get a notification email).
- After few hours on the same day, the status changed to "Decision in Progress" (you will not receive any notification email).

I am now waiting for the decision.

Regards.
Hello my friend! I also applied the OINP under the french-speaking skilled worker stream, and I received my NOI on Jan 24. After that, I submitted my profile on Feb 2nd, It's been more than 40days now and nothing has been updated so far, my status is always "submitted". What should I do:( thanks!

I submitted under the Employer Job Offer: International Student stream
I emailed them last month to ask about my file but they just said I should check the processing times.

Thanks for the reply!
Rennie,

If you have already contacted them and they revert back telling to check the processing time, in this case, you are still within the processing period which is 60-90 days. So you have one more month to go. I believe that you will now see any progression within the remaining one month.

Hello ginger1995,

I think it differs from case to case and it also depends on the investigation carried out regarding the documents submitted (if everything is complete). They are then sent for evaluation. (I am telling according to what they sent me when my status changed to "Assessment") [Après examen de votre demande pour déterminer si elle était complète, celle-ci a été transmise à des fins d’évaluation.].

Be assured that you are still within the processing time frame which is normally 60-90days. You still have 50days remaining. So there should definitely be improvement concerning the status within the remaining 50 days.

Thanks for the reply, Dodohut. I'll wait another month and see how it goes.

Hi y'all

I haven't found a lot of students that applied for their PR via ISJO stream here but you are definitely one of them. I've been reading all your posts about your the process and if you don't mind, I'd like to ask a few things:

* Did you apply through a lawyer or you did it all by yourself? ( I saw a post from a guy who did it through a lawyer so he didn't really have much to share)

* Regarding the employer side of it. Did you have to submit any other documents apart from the employer form?

* How did the process go ? Did you employer receive documents from OINP/ Ministry of Economic development? Did you employer have to keep in touch with them?
Did you end up considering this process negative at all? I mean in a sense that you were working as the process was being processed. For example, did your employer keep on asking you questions related to the process?

Has anyone ever applied through this process while working for multinationals or in other words, large corporations? (E.g. EY, Scotiabank, Magna international and the list goes on lol)

Last but not least, were you not able to apply online via Express Entry after getting your nomination approved? I'm pretty sure they made a few updates last year and the whole thing can be done online now. I mean 1. ISJO application/ If approved = 2 with the confirmation of nomination handy - Application via EE.

Y'all, I'm sorry for the book I wrote. I just think that my questions could be also someone else's Therefore, the answers could definitely help us out.

Cheers

Hey,

Never thought I'd be in the position to give others advise on this topic but here I am haha.

1. I didn't apply through a lawyer. The process seemed pretty straightforward so I figured I could do it on my own. Plus, I was already going to be forking $1,500 on the application and I didn't want to add lawyer fees to that

2. Initially when I submitted my application, the employer form is the only employer related document attached to the application. When my application was being assessed though, the govt. contacted my employer to request documents confirming they are a legitimate business - E.g. financial statements or copies of their tax returns.

3. As far as I know, the only contact my employer had with the Ministry was in regards to getting their statements. There was nothing else after. Before even submitting my application, I was always worried about getting my employer involved in the process because I thought it would just be a bother for them. But I'm glad to say the process was really smooth. There was no back and forth questions between my employer and I since everything is pretty straightforward

4. As for applying through EE, I originally had an EE account and was hoping I could edit my profile to say I've been nominated but it looks like I can't do that. Also, the certificate of nomination I received states that it is not valid for EE so I need to directly apply for PR instead.

I hope this helps!

Goodluck to you~~

Anyone here has experience in requesting an employer to fill up the Pre-screen employer form for Ontario's International Student with Job Offer Stream (OINP)? http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPSTUDENTS_JOB.html

How did you approach your employer about it and how long is the time-frame in processing?

Is it worth it to do the International Student with Job Offer Stream with Ontario or the process is faster through regular Express Entry?

I recently signed a job offer from TD Bank for a NOC B job - FSR. If someone has experience with TD Bank Group with the Pre-screen employer form it would be very helpful.

The reason why I am considering doing the OINP is due to having a score of below 400 for Express Entry.

Thanks in advance for all the advice.
Hi There,

I would like to ask you if you could help me with your experience. I am in the same situation as you were. I have a job offer from TD Bank and I would like to submit an application under International student with job offer. Would be great If I can contact you through LinkedIn or email. Thanks

Hi Rennie,

Once you get your PR, How long do you need to live in Ontario and how long do you have to work for that specific employer?
Do you think TD bank will be willing to help me with this process?

Your help is really appreciate it, Thanks!

Hi Rennie,
I also applied for OINP as a student with job offer. You said that that certificate of nomination says that it is nod valid for EE. But on the OINP website you can find information regarding "what to do after you receive nomination" and it says that you can apply online through EE.

So, you decided to apply through paper-based application?

thank you
