If i had a job in my home country for which i was paid in cash and dont have salary slips but I have the reference letter and used it in my student visa tooYou don't have to have any job experience through this stream.
To be honest, anyone could have a chance of getting "deep check" by the federal, but the chance is very low. They more focus on your general background. Work experience is just part of your background. Plus you already got PNP.If i had a job in my home country for which i was paid in cash and dont have salary slips but I have the reference letter and used it in my student visa too
Will it be verified when i mention it in personal history when i apply for federal PR after getting the pnp, or they just have a look at it?
An individual authorized to work in Ontario (please proceed to Section E)Hi, I have a question
I just started filling out the employer form with my employer.
On Section C – Position Information > 5. Applicant Status they ask if you are:
An individual authorized to work in Ontario (please proceed to Section E)
An individual applying as an international student (please proceed to Section E)
Which option should I choose? As I am applying under the International Student Stream, but I am no longer in international Student? I have currently my PGWP.
Thanks for your help.

How long is the processing time and is it exempt LMIA process.I just asked my employer to help me with PR process. ( I wasn't sure if they would) and they agreed. So I connected my employer & my lawyer. They worked together (lawyer filled all forms, collected all documents from HR of my company - my boss just signed every document as asked by lawyer and then lawyer submitted it)
If employer did not agree to fill it ; I might have to wait for 2 yrs work experience & then apply through Express entry as I had no other choice.
Hi,
I have recently filed OINP through International student with job offer stream.
I asked my employer to help me with it and they agreed (it is a recruitment company where I work as Recruiter).
The process is lengthy but it is worth it if you are short CRS points. I came to Canada as an International student and started working, even with job experience for 1 year my CRS score was low due to only diploma degree (as I don't have Bach. / masters degree)
For me this was the only option.
Process --
I chose to go through lawyer as in this particular category - the employer has to provide a lot many documents - many confidential documents like
- business registration number
- incorp. number
- T4As and many more
- they have to fill various forms and you have to provide employer letter's for all the jobs you have done in last 10 years
I have already filed it - status ----
OINP applied - 25th may 2018
Email of receipt of confirmation - 1st June 2018
Status - Assessment
Will keep you posted if it changes.
Also, in case u need any help, DM me and I shall give you my contact info and help in whatever way possible.
Hello Rennie,Hi,
I wanted to share my timeline because I'm a bit worried at how long it's taking for my file to be processed.
Application was sent (through the OINP portal): January 17, 2019
AOR received (I'm assuming this is the email they send you confirming your application was received and the file number: January 18, 2019
Fast forward till today March 14, 2019 and there have been no updates. The site is down at the moment but the last time I checked (March 4), my application only said "Submitted"
Is this normal? Should I be expecting something soon or is the next step not going to happen until later?
I would appreciate your help on this as I'm a bit concerned since my work permit will be expiring in Feb 2020.
Thanks!
I submitted under the Employer Job Offer: International Student streamHello Rennie,
1. For which stream you applied?
2. It is a bit strange that the status has not changed. It's nearly 2 months for your case.
3. Here are the status : "Submitted" >> "Assessment" >> "Decision under Progress" >> "Approved / Refused"
Taking my situation (French-Speaking - FSWP),
- I submitted on 15th February 2019 (you should get a notification email about confirmation).
- Status changed to "Assessment" on 5th of March 2019 (you should get a notification email).
- After few hours on the same day, the status changed to "Decision in Progress" (you will not receive any notification email).
I am now waiting for the decision.
Regards.
