So its permitted to apply for study visa while awaiting ppr?

Hi was an inland applicant, so maybe that affects the eligibility to apply.
I suggest you to search on CIC website about dual intent.
Sorry I didn ask you first if you're Inland or Outland applicant

I guess that GCMS may had some effect on my application as well.

I applied 2 sets of GCMS.
One on Jan 4th
and one on Feb 6th
The first GCMS notes were generated on Jan 16th (according to the second set of GCMS)
and my eligibility and criminality was passed on the same day (within 3 mins between themselves according to the second GCMS notes).
And also received "How to find a job in Canada" email on Jan 16th.
PPR on Feb 28th.

And yet @abhifeb13 is saying ordering GCMS is a scam?

Yes. I say because my status was already in progress even before I ordered GCMS..it was eligibility met, criminality passed and security not started ..I got to know the status after calling CIC. So that's why I say it's a scam and didn't help me ...People supporting it should have evidence..not just say.

According to my GCMS yes.
Also the application was transferred (I'm not sure to where) on the same date

Exciting! Whoever is getting ghost update now, seems to be getting ppr mail next day... So fingers crossed for you!

Do you mind sharing your timeline till now and if you are aware of where your application is being processed?

Jaysil just confirmed again how his application progressed when he ordered GCMS notes..I am sure him or me haven't been paid by one of those GCMS companies to advertise them but we are just saying on the basis of what we have come across so far on these forums...
Also as I said earlier it all depends on officer, if he/she is too lazy they will just send you notes...if efficient they will move you to next stage....
As suggested earlier, search for GCMS notes and PR in the search box on the right hand top corner...

People order GCMS notes for free(or for fee if outside Canada) just to see what is the status of their application.
Ordering GCMS notes with the sole purpose of giving push to your application is not a clever move...

Well I live in Canada so I didn't pay anything to get GCMS.
I was worried about the eligibility of my application as some of the experience letters I submitted were less than perfect. That's why I applied multiple sets of GCMSs.

I did in 17 Feb. No news.march ppl received them in 8 to 10 days. Applied via gcms and they are also FSWO India.
What's happening with CIC.it is just becoming random picking
