Visitor Visa Application as Family

Hi all,

I have applied for a visitor visa application for myself, my wife and my daughter 3 weeks back. This application was done online and we are currently residing in US as Indian citizens.

I and my wife got the letter to submit biometrics within a week and we completed that as well. My daughter being a minor (under 10) didn't received biometrics request as expected.

I and my wife received the request to submit original passports on 2 weeks back, but we havent received one for my daughter yet.

Questions:
1. As we have 30 days to submit original passports for myself and my wife, should we go ahead and do it without waiting for the request letter for my daughter? Or Should we wait for my daughter's approval letter? I am worried in this scenario if we run out of time if we wait.
2. I contacted the IRCC through the web form, but they just responded and asked to wait? Is there any other way to directly contact them and get better guidance?
3. Should I be worried that we havent received the passport submission letter for my daughter? Its not useful if just my wife and I get the visas stamped.

Don't wait for a passport request for your daughter. Do submit your passports before the 30 days submission deadline.

No, you cannot contact them directly.

Processing time can vary within a group of family applications. You will need to wait patiently for a passport request for your daughter

Thanks Bryanna for the responses. Knowing that this is usual (i.e. varying processing times within family members and submitting the passports for us) helps a lot. Thanks for the help.

Depending on where you live in the US, you should also send an email to either the NY or LA visa office for the status of her application.

But, in the meanwhile don't wait to submit your/your wife's passports.... otherwise your files would be closed as 'Refused' if you don't submit within the 30 days' deadline

EDIT:
You will NOT get a Biometrics Instruction Letter for your daughter because she is younger than the age limit of 14 years for biometrics collection

Would the Visa Office in LA know, even if I had originally submitted the application online? Sorry, but am not sure, thus want to confirm.

Apologies for adding another question, but if I send both of our passports together, do I need to only send one return label?

Yes, the LA visa office. That said, as processing time has not crossed the estimate of 55 days, you won't get a reply if you email them nor a reply to the web form you had sent.

Two return labels

After reading this, I am peaceful. I applied last 2/28 online from Dominican Republic for a TRV with my daughter. Yesterday, I received Biometric Validation Letter stating that my Biometrics are valid by 10 years (My daughter did not need to provide Biometrics because she is 13 - under 14 years old). Today during the morning, I received the Passport Request Letter, but my daughter who is in the same profile as my dependent did not receive the same. Her application is still showing in progress meanwhile the mine is showing approved. I will wait a few days more. The processing time for DR is 15 days as per now. So, I will wait until next week letting IRCC works and finishes the process with my daughter. I am faithful that she will get the visa, as well. Then, I can deliver both passports at the same time. Thanks @Bryanna for the explanation. I wrote in another thread about this and searching more information, I found the answer here. @hk2022 We are in the same boat. Let's wait.

Don't wait too long to submit your passport. It must be within 30 days from the date you received the passport submission request

Hi,

In order to follow up, I have just signed in on the IRCC website and check the PPR for my daughter if it comes and I am surprised to see the chart of the stages or activities (Review of eligibility, Background check, Additional docs, etc) is not visible in the account no more.

Is it a change only for my user only or it is a general change they have done? @Bryanna @hk2022

Thanks!

How did you apply? Paper or online?
