I think the difference in points is only if person is working in Canada. In my case, points are same for one and two years experience. I have more than 2 but less than 3 years experience.
Yes, for work experience inside Canada.
For outside Canada, when you have 3 years work experience it will increase.

I am one of those unfortunate person who missed the ITA today, My score is 444 but the cutoff today is 454. I am married and I have a 4 month old baby. My express entry profile is for the whole family. I feel that time is running out and I should make an application as Married but not accompany? If I adjust profile by doing this my score will be significantly high and I will get the ITA soon,Is there any downside to this or should I wait for the score to drop down so that I can expect ITA by mid this year?

***Help needed***

Many Thanks,
Geo Edwin Raj

HOLY BATMAN!! 454 did not see that coming

It is indeed getting more and more tougher now since everybody is now applying for Canada.

I would strongly advise everyone below 440 to improve your score through IELTS or taking up a 1 year program.

Even with back to back draws I don't think it will drop below 440. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :(

Congratulations to all those who made it

You've got a strong profile then. Good luck buddy.
Thanks friend. The only thing is that my post graduate work permit is expiring mid june. Do you think, I will be able to get an ITA before that?

I see, even my work permit expired, can I remain a country as visitor and apply PR? (My passport is visa exempt for visitor)

I know I cannot work but I already have 2 years work experience from last 3 years
If you are a visitor in Canada, you would have to be a resident in some other country. So I guess you have to apply from your current country of residence. I am not sure though.

How come

How come they have higher targets this year, but then they are going with smaller draws?
Last year around the same time period (Jan 2018 - Mar 2018) they were inviting only 2750 to 3000 applicants. Now, they are inviting 3350 applicants, which means they are inviting more people to meet the higher targets. How they split the total number is totally dependent on them.

After having a look on the 2018 data. I've figured, whenever there was a draw within the first 6-7 days of a month, then it was witnessed with a series of 3 back-to-back draws, resulting the Cut-off to be dropped, drastically.

If that happens again, then we all here with the range of 440 and more, would surely get an ITA by the end of March. Otherwise, be prepared to witness the next draws with unchanged cut-off or more.

What you guys say about it?

Hello, what according to you are the chances for those who are above 445?
I believe it may take atleast minimum of 3 draws for the score to drop at 445.

457 was the last draw cut-off. I had hoped it will be 450 this time but it was 454. So it just means more and more people are applying for Canada.

So maybe, April 3 draw it may come down to 445 if there is no 3 week gap. But if they have a back to back draw then surely it will come way below 445. But I don't think they will have back to back draws with the amount of backlogs they have.

Yes, they have definitely increased the ITAs. That's a good sign!!
