Hey all,
Have an urgent question.
I just received Biometric request (for timeline, please see my signature).
I made a huge typo, for my spouse, I have mistakenly put 'Canada' as county of birth in IMM0008 form. I have sent a WebForm when I received App# and UCI. Did not receive any response to the WebForm since it's been only couple days. Now in the biometric request letter, it states Canada as country of birth (which I am sure is an auto generated form based on the info in the system).
What should I do? Do the biometric? Or should wait until I hear about the Webform request I submitted? Any tips?
Thanks!
They will respond to you just wait for a couple of more days. If they don't then call them.

Hey Guys,
Just a general question. Is the application transferred to local visa offfice (AOR2) after medical test or biometric are received? Or do they transfer it regardless of those two?
It is different. There are no set rules. They transferred my file to Mississauga instead of Local VO which should be New Delhi. File was transferred after I got the biometrics and medical request, but before medical and biometrics were actually done by PA. check my signature.

What about if applicant in canada? How can my wife give biometrics in canada if she get request for
Did she give biometrics in last 10 years? Is she on visitor visa? Biometrics is mandatory for PR. If she just came in as a visitor and hasn't done biometrics then she will have to leave Canada. You can't do biometrics in Canada as of now. If she has visa for US then she can go there and get it done, otherwise she will have to go back to home country.

@others: pls correct me if I am wrong

Hi Did you receive any email instructions from cic regarding biometic fee payment and linking it to the application? Can you please share about the process (Case specific form)

Thanks
We received 2 emails. First for my husband(PA) second for me(sponsor).
My husband email starts with UCI and application number. They first explained that they have changed the rules for biometric on July 31, 2018. Then they wrote, "According to our records, biometric fees are required for the following individual" with my husband's name and DOB.
Below that, they explained how to pay the fees.
Under that they explained 3 ways to send them the receipt (2 online, 1 by mail) They wrote to choose only 1 and only one way
1. by MYCIC account after linking the application(which I couldn't at that point because of a mistake, now I could)
2. Case specific enuiry form : https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx (i chose this)
3. by regular mail(canada post etc.)

My email starts with my UCI number (which I have since I entered in canada), Application Number(same as my husband.
This says that its an automated message to confirms that we have received your application on Jan 18 on behalf of my husband.

IS THIS AOR1?
If by chance there is a mistake, do they return the application at this point. I'm just worried.

If she is living in Canada as a student or temporary worker then it makes sense to send RCMP finger print. If she is on visitor visa, and has not done biometrics in last 10 years then she might have to leave country to do it.

Ya unfortunately we can't lodge a complaint and say CIC is being partial. Every case is different. Being patient is the only option.

Another advice to everyone: not to compare with a particular applicant file. Compare your file with the ongoing average. Get the average from the spreadsheets we have from different months.
