I think it could be possible, this should be done case by case. So if your info is too different from your pr application, you'd better correct it.
Hi, thank you very much for your feedback. My spouse has relatives in canada (aunt-in-law & first cousins) which we declared in the PNP application. However, our representative insisted not to declare them during the PR submission. They said the degree of relationship is not immediate and that we're not claimimg points from them for adaptability, and, because my spouse does not actually have direct contact with them since childhood. I dunno, but, i really didn't feel right during that time. But problem is, we still let them submit the application without those details, which is now making me really anxious.

Please
ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU PROCEED:

Application related factors:
- Is your application package organized and complete?
- Did you send proof of everything, with translations, all in good copies?
- Are you being completely honest with CIC?
- Do you really plan to live in the province that nominated you?

Every applicant should know this is the best you can do to speed up your processing time:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=021&top=4

For inland applicants (STEP-BY STEP AND EXPECTED PROCESSING TIMES):
If you said yes to all:
- your receipt letter (acknowledgment of receipt - AOR) will take about 2 months to come after the package arrived at the processing office (use the tracking code).
- Your medicals request (MR) will take about 9 months after the AOR.
- It takes about 1 month to update your profile after MR is received.
- *Background check* - After medicals are passed, it takes about 6 months to process your background.
- Final review - It may take about 1 month and passport request and return 1.5-2 months.

*This is the express entry processing time. EE takes ~6 months. The same time should be taken to process paper-based, but I believe they have more people working on EE.

Total average processing time:
2+9+1+6: 16 months
+ passport request and return take ~1.5 months = 17.5 months to get your PR.

This is the normal time. Don't freak out. If you got ADR, add ~2 months for each ADR (read below).

The background check is the bulk of the processing time and it includes your whole life. Let's talk about it next.

Hi there, how do you know the medical request takes 9months after receiving the AOR?

IRCC don't care about second-degree relatives. No need to put them to an application

Hi everyone,
AINP paper based application inland, Applicant, spouse and 2 kids, AR Oct 26 2017, AOR Dec 28 2017, MR & ADR(PCC, Schedule A, RPRF) Dec 8, 2018, MP Dec 14 2018 so fast.
I have requested GCMS Notes twice on May 2018 and Sept 2018, during that time nothing changed: eligibility not started, criminality in process, security not started, info sharing in process and medical passed by now. Still the same until today nothing have changed. I noticed that my file was transfer few times from office to office until ended up primary office Etobicoke on July. I sent an email to etobicoke office on February and replied back: ``Your case in still in queue pending officer assignment and review. This is reason why criminally, security, info sharing and eligibility have yet to be updated. These requirements will be updated by the officer once reviewed.`` As per today still same I received other email yesterday with the same update.

Honestly I am confuse about the response on the email, meaning no one has touch my file so far that`s why nothing have passed; or to my understanding IRCC have third parties to work on background check, so, it might be the chance all the results sitting somewhere waiting for review from the officer like the email said. I am anxious about this situation because people get most of the assessment passed during the whole process not right after the end of the timeframe. Worried if something is going with my case. If anyone might have any thoughts I will appreciate.

Hello Guys
Me and my wife got AOR on December 19th 2018.

We got ADR on January 12th (for IELTS certificate copy). I uploaded it in 3 days time. I received a mail that my profile has been updated.
Medical is shown as passed from the past 3 months.
I had lived and worked in India, UAE and Bahrain and guess this delays my background check. I believe Bahrain might take the longest for police verification etcc as its a bit backward in such procedures.

Anyways remaining time is 2 months and 19 days from today. Hope it will be cleared earliest as possible. Biometrics, passport stamping etc will take another 2 months i guess.. Its such a slow process after AOR.

I encourage cic to atleast update step by step when complete.. I mean they have around 6 checks on the profile page and only medical is shown as passed. Its so discouraging and puts off the excitement.

Does anyone have a number or a mail id where i could enquire if they have got all documents as required.

Hello everyone.

TommySan
I would like to start off by thanking you for the time and effort you had put into supplying information and responding to this forum. Your responses were of massive help to me.

I am here to share my PR experience so far.

- I met my spouse in a family shelter in December 31st 2016. Both of us were new to the country.
- My daughter was 2 years old at the time and she had three kids ages 5,7 & 8 years old.
- While we were in the shelter we had so much time to learn about each other. That is when I encouraged her to seek Protection as a refugee.
- I received a positive decision from on my Refugee Claim in May 21st 2017.
- We married on March 1st 2018
- We applied for PR on June 5th 2018
- She received a negative decision on her claim on June 10th 2018 and decided to appeal anyway.
- The marriage took an exhausting turn for the worst and I moved out of the house on 30th August 2018 to avoid further problems. She requested that I removed her and her three kids from the PR application and after doing some research I did so immediately to avoid misrepresentation.
- The second I stepped into my new apartment I contact IRCC with address, email and mobile number updates. I was being very safe not to leave anything out.
- In October 2018 I received some sort of request to submit a declaration stating that my spouse and her kids were no longer a part of the application. I submitted that immediately.
- On November 30th we changed our marital status to separated on the CRA website.
- On February 19th 2019 my PR application was updated and I got a message that I must submit MR for my daughter and I.
- On March 15th 2019 we were able to take the Medical exam but I still used a web form to inform them that it was sent and it may arrive late. I included the .pdf of our MR.
- I was worried they wouldn't receive my MR in time. On March 18th 2019 the status for our MR then said "Medical Report not received". I nearly died because the Panel Physician mentioned that it can take up to a week for them to receive it.
- I guess they got my web form with the medical pdf attached, either way the status was changed on March 27th and it read: "You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes".

***** My question is, why did the status of my medical go to default as if they hadn't gotten around to send the request in the first place? Why didn't it just say you passed the medical or you failed?

So here I am now:
I never received and AOR. Only when I linked the application online in October, I saw the date it was received .
It took 9 months (from the time they received my application) for them to request an MR.
I just have my fingers crossed because I try my very best to have everything updated. I am the kind of person that avoids problems here in Canada because I have a young daughter and I also have and Application for PR pending. Never traveled outside of my home country beside the time I came to Canada and as a refugee claimant at the airport in September 2016.
I cant pinpoint anything that would be my fault that'll delay this process anymore.

***** Another question is, will the completion of my application be delayed anymore because of my spouse and her kids being removed?

Thanks in advance for any responses!

Hello everyone

Please I need someone to help clarify this issue:

I have gotten a nomination already and am about to submit my PR application. However my nomination included my wife and kid,, but am not submitting for them as they will be staying behind for now due to some reasons. Can I submit the application stating that they are not accompanying me and pay the fees for myself alone?

man, c`mon, you been watching too many movies. this is an immigration process not time spent at Guantanamo base where they go through your life day after day. it is virtually impossible to check your criminal connections except for the situation you got involved and later convicted. I don't think any police force is obliged to open their files to an immigration guy from a respective country more than to confirm one has been convicted or not. same for parking tickets...who would bother to check these? and for what? plus, this is not illegal to have contacts with criminals. this is not what the application packet is all about. I can only presume they check all that is checkable unless there is some serious doubt - like somebody's disappearance - going to syria for instance for a couple of months. this kind of stuff. and why bother asking for a criminal record check and its translation if they can do it themselves using some sort of software? in case of my country all what is needed is your date of birth and full name. no bar code, no nothing. also, bear in mind, that checking the countries you been to is, especially in Europe, virtually impossible. there are no borders so how can it be checked and for what? you just drive from one country to another and all you see is different gas stations. nobody is chipped so this is not trackable. I don't think your credit card history is checked. this is not CIA man. if there was such a hypothetical database/software capable of providing such info, the whole immigration process would take a week or so...
I agree, theguy who wrote this water his time thinkimg of how they think in the movies or at the cia. He went way too far and half what he said is speculation.. it's not half as deep of checks as he made it out to be.

Hey Guys,
Has anybody waited for more than 6 months without any update from CIC ? Could you share your experience ?
AOR: 01 Oct 2018, no update from CIC, When I contact CIC via call centre or web form they reply that everything is in place. It's been more than 6 months and I have no idea how to deal with this. I ordered GCMS notes which has Eligibility as 'Recommended Pass' with the officer mentioning 'REVIEW REQUIRED'. Is there a reason that CIC doesn't communicate this ? I mean if knew the problem, I could upload documents supporting the issue. What's the worst case scenario here ?

Review of eligibility : We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results : You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents : We do not need additional documents.
Interview : You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics : We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check : Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Final decision : Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
