Another Friday.
a question guys,
Is it true that people who applied in the last few months (i think maybe last 6 months) were processed differently and had hearings in 2-3 months after application?
Are there any changes in IRB procedure regarding new applicants?
Please share your info with us.
Best regards,
Jalal

No change in the process, at least for me. Claimed 6 months ago and still waiting for my fate.

Hello everyone.

I wanted to share my timeline and ask a question and would appreciate if you advise me.

I am from Afghanistan. Applied for refugee July 2018 in Toronto.
Received expedited processing letter December 2018
and received NoD Feb 2019.

Obviousely next step is to apply for PR and RTD.

My question is about PR. If I apply for PR and then after 3-4 months go to Europe and get married, can I then add her ( my wife ) to my application? Will her PR be processed at the same time with me? Or do you think I should wait, go get married in 3-4 months and when I am back apply for PR as married? Thanks.

Congratulation bro.

When you received expedited processing letter, did they ask you to submit more documents in 15 days?

That is interesting. I know many Afghans who applied months before you and although were expedited are still waiting. I think a new kind of legacy cases were created here! People who applied end of 2017 and early 2018 are waiting and cases applied second half of 2018 are processing in few months.
About your question I honestly think that if you take a travel document and then go and married in 3 months and then return and apply would be better. In this case all you have same application. Let's see what is other people opinions.
Good luck

Thank you so much.
I also know people who applied in 2017 and are still waiting. And also heard of some people who applied in 2018 and were accepted in 2018. I know a Turkish citizen who applied March 2018 and was accepted November 2018 after he was considered for expedited process. What I heard and think may have an effect in my case is the new procedure of processing less complicated cases faster.

What is the waiting time for a hearing in Montreal? I have been waiting for more than 14 months and no news.

Legacy cases were before 2013 so not quite as bad. Predictions have been 2 years for processing so many are still on the right timeline.
