My file was transferred in April 2018 and got eligibility passed in December 2018

yours would be near probably , lately i saw movement in applicants whose files transferred in march/april.

They sent us PFL we answered it and got eligibility passed in December 2018 after 14 months

why did it take so long ? because it was a 2nd marriage case ? also does it affect if the sponsoring person was previously married or its just the applicant's 2nd marriage that can affect the speed of case processing ? i have heard they check more keenly on males who are being sponsored !

When it comes to background checks it can take from 1day to more then an year only.

Offcourse our was due to second marriage and I can’t share other details here publicly but yes second marriage is a red flag. And background checks are done by third party and you can get stuck in background checks for so many reason, male or female don’t really matter a lot
