Hello All,

Where to do masters in out of the following offers:-
1) Mechanical Engineering (Thesis) from University of Manitoba (WInnipeg,MB)
2) Mechanical Engineering (Course) from Mcgill (Montreal,QC)
3) Engineering Management from University of Ottawa (Ottawa, ON)

I just want to knw dat which university to choose out of these based on post-education Job market & also easy PR.

PR depends on a immigration program you chose to apply for , not a college or university program.

If you need to compare imm.programs please do you job. Go to www.cic.gc.ca and look at FSW program, as well as at PNP in Manitoba, Quebec and Ontario.

I am not an expert in it but i think Quebec state has some 'special' leverage in giving PR

McGill all the way! Have you applied already? :)

Yeah already got offerletters of these three, jus have to decide....

In Manitoba I hv scholarship, so total tuition charges are just 4000$ whereas in Mcgill or Ottawa it is bout 22000- 25000$.

So lil bit confusion to choose from...

Congrats man! That's awesome! If i get three offer letters I'd probably rank them according to my preference and their reputation - both of these factors of course are influenced by how much you've researched about the school (their alumni, their rankings, citations, and breakthroughs). I may be a little biased but go for McGill, man! Haha. It is my dream school. In fact I have only applied there. My POI will give me his final decision next week. Congrats again! :)

I just got my supervisor's email saying he recommended me for admission. Haha. So if you decide to go to McGill we will be on the same building. Haha. Cheers man! :D ;D

So? After 5 years of this thread, what did you do? I am into a similar situation, I think Quebec is the easiest pathway for PR but I don't know, any advises here? Thanks!

If you don't speak French you may want to reassess your Quebec PR plans. Would go to the best program for you. The previous example had both engineering degrees and management degrees. Depending on what kind of employment experience you have I would also consider whether the programs has relationship with employers or any form or co-op/work experience.
