So after going through all the stories on here I applied through Canadian High Commission in Mexico but also trying to find a lawyer to apply myself as well...As going through Canadian High Commission, Mexico takes about 2 months I have heard
Hi
In which city do you live ? The cost of the PCC is less than 100 MXN. My friends usually get it before leaving the country (usually for Aus and other countries but none for Canada yet). It is issued by 'Dirección General Archivo de dentificación Crimnalistico'.

As this is my first comment, I couldn't add the copy of the certificate issued in Guadalajara. It usually takes around two hours to receive the PCC. Passport, Mexico legal visa/FM2/3/M along with a address proof like power or water bill should be carried while walking in.

I'm not sure either if this can be directly sent to IRCC, (but can definitely be added as a supporting document) or the lawyer gets it from a different issuing authority.

I am too far away to go into police station at Mexico City unfortunately hence trying to find a good reliable lawyer....

Oh, that's a good news, But as per the instructions given in IRCC site, if you are living outside Mexico, you need to get the PCC through Canadian Embassy[ Though I am not sure whether you can get from lawyers] , In case if you get any lawyers, could you please let me know.

Yes I did lot of research and you can definitely request on your own as well as long as the Police Certificate is officially translated to English....It is super hard to find lawyers that speak English...most lawyers I googled up only deal in Spanish and I know no Spanish unfortunately....
Are you Mexican?

No, I am not Mexican. I am living in Canada now, But if you go through Canadian embassy and if the PCC is in progress , IRCC may extend the time to submit the Mexico PCC if you provide the details that you have submitted the documents and waiting to receive it. I am hoping that , and if you go through the thread some other people also mentioned that .

Documents sent to Canadian Embassy in Mexico : 18/12/2018
Embassy confirmed receipt:

By the way just as a helpful guide for future applicants that require PCC from Mexico you have two options to get it as I just went through the process myself:
1) Go through Canadian High Commission in Mexico - they take between 30-60 days after they receive your complete documents.
2) Get a friend/family or an agent to do it on your behalf.

As I didn't have any friend or family in Mexico I searched like crazy for agents that can do it for me but I faced lots of issues as most of the websites are in Spanish. And when I found some(through Google Translate) most of them didn't bother responding even after repeated attempts. Anyways I was lucky to have found Carlos from "http://www.gestoriadeoriente.com/". I know he would never visit this forum probably but he was the most helpful person I have met....I had the certificate in my hand on 7th day...Such quick and transparent service...I am impressed...

Well you have 2 options -
1) Go through Canadian Embassy in Mexico. They take approximately 60 days once they receive your complete documents.
2) Find a local agent/family member that can do it on your behalf. This takes about 10 days once the Mexican Police receive your documents.

I went with an agent (as mentioned in my post above) and subsequently I also applied at Canadian Mexico Embassy. The agent got me the Constancia in 9 days and Canadian Embassy has not even sent my application to Mexico Police yet.

As I don't live in Mexico and was requested a PCC too, I decided to follow CIC instructions by the letter and do so via the Embassy.
I understand that there are some agencies that can procure it for you, but was being extra cautious in case CIC didn't like that.

It took almost 90 business days for me, FML.

As long as it is a genuine Police Clearance and they can contact Mexico Police to confirm validity there shouldn't be any problems...Lots of people follow agent route for quicker processing....

Hi , I just did as per instructions too . They will send you a letter giving you only 1 month to get the fingerprints but Mexico police check take arround 1 month to 2 months (some cases 80 days) but if you send prof that you already took the fingerprints and send it to Mexico should be fine .... if you live in Ontario , google it fingerprint agency’s, and there will do it for you, they all are familiar with the process..
Good luck

I am from India. I contacted one of the fingerprint agency here and they told to me that they will do fingerprint on fd-258 fingerprint card (FBI) . Will this be acceptable for Mexico PCC?
