Hello Everyone,

I am new to the forum and would really appreciate your help regarding my sponsorship application. I am a Canadian Citizen and am sponsoring my wife who lives in Iran at the moment.

My sponsorship application was received in NS on September 20, 2018.
On December 24, 2018 I received an email containing the application number and UCI number - is this AOR1?
On February 19, 2019 I received another email asking for my wife's biometrics.

I have not yet received any emails/letters regarding her medicals or her approval, do I need to be concerned? I would really appreciate it if someone could guide me in the right direction.

Thank you!

Hi there. The email you received on December 24th is your AOR1.
Give CIC a call; ask about your Sponsorship Approval and Medical request. Won't hurt. Sometimes it helps to give them a little nudge.

Thank you for your reply.

I will contact them tomorrow morning regarding my Sponsorship Approval and Medical request. One other thing I wanted to ask is that on my ECAS account under Sponsorship Application Status it says "Decision Made" but when I click on it no new information is being shown. What does that mean?

Thank you again.

Decision Made under Sponsorship Application means you are approved as a sponsor, your email is on the way.

Thank you very much.

Reading through this post it seems request for medical is usually received around the same time most people received their biometric request / sponsor approval letter. Please correct me if that's wrong.

Yes. Usually the medical request isn't far behind. In some cases the file gets transferred to the local Visa Office then they request the medical. This usually causes a little delay.
Hope you get your request right after SA

If we have learned anything in this thread and on this forum. Patience is key . You have received AOR and biometrics requests so this is a sign that the officer is working on things. Like you my process is different from others , everyone’s is at a different stage.
Rec'd AOR2 ON JANUARY 3/2019 , LVO is Rome. No communications after that...I heard its one of the busiest visa offices! what is you timeline?
App received sept 12, AOR December 17, SA Jan 4, medical request Jan 9 , medicals passed Jan 20. After that nothing . Visa office for hubby will be Mexico and another busy and slow office . I don’t know if it’s there because ecas is showing nothing except they received the app

I'm recommend you to call to IRCC to ask have they sent your application to VO and when.
