They don't seem to update the online status regularly. Even after more than 2 months of submitting the updated forms, PCC and medicals the online status is the same. We did receive invitation to pre-arrival services mail 3 weeks ago.
Average 4 to 5 months. You don't need to do anything now. Just wait for the passport request. In between you will get invitation to pre-arrival services mail. Don't attach much importance to that mail as passport request can take a few days to a few months thereafter.

I submit all documents on 27 January 2019 so how much time they take on it more
As I wrote earlier they don't update the online status regularly. My status doesn't show the start of BGC yet. But i don't believe that is a fact.
Oh it’s really strange but I am waiting for a month if they not update then I sent email

I received refusal for my wife application yesterday. I did not sleep tonight reading this thread. I wish I new about this forum before.
She is from Dominican Republic. I am Canadian citizen originally from Russia. We met when I was in DR in December 2016, engaged in June 2017, married November 2017 and applied April 2018.
I have been to DR 11 times since we met.
I am 15 years older than her. She is 27 I am 42. She has a daughter whose father ran to Germany.
My parents could not come to the wedding - they live in Russia and are too old to travel that far. So we had guests only from her family at the wedding.
Before applying for sponsorship I applied for her visitor visa which was refused (they did not believe she would come back). She was married to a Canadian before who divorced her after her visitor visa to see him in Canada was refused for the same reason.
Refusal for our sponsorship application is that they think marriage is not genuine:
In coming to this conclusion I have considered your lack of shared language, your limited knowledge about your husband’s personal life in Canada and lack of common-interests or explanation as to what makes you compatible with your husband. Before arriving at my decision, I advised you of the specific concerns that I had identified in your case regarding your relationship with your sponsor, and asked you to address these issues. You were unable to provide a response that satisfied my concerns.
At the interview she could not tell them the name of the city I live in Canada (she has never been here - they did not let her visit me). Also she could not tell details how I came to Canada which I never told her. She speaks limited English and I speak limited Spanish, but I guess 400+ pages of Whatsapp chat transcript were not enough to prove that we can communicate.
I used a lawyer for the application.
Does it worth to appeal or should we just reapply? Should I use a lawyer for appeal?
Also if there is a hearing for appeal - is she supposed to come for it or do they call her during the hearing?

My case is very similar to yours. I appealed against the refusal and won without any help from a lawyer.
I think it's better to appeal rather than reapply. Visa officer may refuse again over one or two so called red flags. But success in an appeal is almost assured for genuine couples though the process is slow and may take a couple of years.
Spouse is contacted on phone during the hearing. If you are granted alternate dispute resolution conference your spouse won't be contacted at all. But the chances of success in ADR conference are only 50 percent.
I know how shattering is to get refusal letter. But keep persevering and you will definitely succeed.
