Heard that OTTAWA releases PPR batch on Tuesday, is that correct?

Please let me know if my home country licence can get me some discount in getting a licence (ON). Or I need to have an extract ? What I mean is, do they consider the licence as a proof of experience or they need some kind of document apart from the home country licence to consider a waiver for driving programme?

I am not sure about India and every country is different, but usually they want something to prove that you are an experienced driver. For me they just checked my driver's license, the issue date and the expiry date. Then they exempt me from Graduate Driver's License (GDL) program and allowed me to take the final test without the need to go through any classes.
Also, get a document that reports your Driving experience in India, (detailed report like the years of experience, and if you had accident or not). This will help you get discount on your insurance.

I am also stuck in IP2 for no reasons. Well I am also waiting for my 2nd GCMS notes which should delivered by 5th March. Hoping to get PPR before that. I am quite optimist this week for the folks stuck from June month.

Also, yours is the 6th case now from Montreal and from June which shows application on hold. I have a feeling that it may have been a system error on their part. But I guess folks with applications on hold need to compare notes to figure out.

Hello guys, hope everyone doing well here.

I am going to land Toronto on 3rd March at 12.35 PM and then my connecting flight towards Ottawa is at 3 PM. It is about 2 and half hours window; I know its very tight schedule but I had no choice. I am flying with Cathay Pacific and my Journey ends in Ottawa. My airline agent is saying I will get my luggages at the last stop which is Ottawa. I read in this forum that as part of the landing procedures I have to do customs in Toronto which includes collecting luggages and then drop them off to the connecting airlines counter.

As I said, I bought ticket which is valid till Ottawa where I should get the luggages. Which one is correct? Will I get luggages in Toronto or in Ottawa? I am confused, please help if someone has any specific knowledge. Also how long it takes to complete landing in Toronto given that it will be Sunday afternoon?

Sorry for the late response. Your luggage will be delivered to Toronto. After every check, you will be told where to pick up your luggage. After passing through a custom check, you will be told where to take your luggage to for the connecting flight. There is someone available to instruct you on what to do. There is a free cart for you to transport so no cause for alarm.

Hey Guys received my CBSA notes few hours back. Funny thing is CBSA notes and last GCMS Notes are exactly same...
In GCMS it was mentioned that security not started but we thought of just double checking in case there was a security related issue. It means our file is not stuck with security, infact it seems like it hasn't gone to CBSA at all and CIC is pondering on the case for the last 8 months for no reason whatsoever cause everything is good in my notes with no adverse remarks anywhere.

Well, at least we are not alone...

I checked again and I have the same outgoing around the same date (from my last gcms notes).
What I guess is that they sent your file to another group/officer to do your security, but they have forgotten!!!

Everyone should pass security, but there are few people who are send for a more in-depth analysis. However, I don't think it is the case for him as there is no sign in the activity or in the notes section. There is no redaction either. If a person is sent to SS, the first 4 activities should be related to SS and gets redacted. Some redaction may be seen in the assessment or notes section as well.
The redaction that he has are probably related to the fact that he didn't provide consent from from his wife

I did provide a consent form for my wife info, the only redaction I have is under section 13 which is something about not sharing info obtained under the consent of a foreign government. I will share that part in a bit, let me edit it.

@Mr_nobody This is all regarding my information sharing and the only part of my notes that is redacted.

this is what the mail where I received the notes mentioned:
Disposition of your records: Disclosed in part
Section(s) of the Act applied (if applicable): 13(1)(a) government of a foreign state

They also provide a link of all laws and sections, which mentions this:
Information obtained in confidence

13 (1) Subject to subsection (2), the head of a government institution shall refuse to disclose any record requested under this Act that contains information that was obtained in confidence from
(a) the government of a foreign state or an institution[...]

Write to your VO once again, with a CSE to support... Bug them.. I assume you may have been doing everything, but keep doing it consistently and become persistent... Only 1.5 weeks left for your PPR I guess!!
