Guess you were right on this one. Provincial employees yes but Feds no. Didn’t seem to make a difference for me. Still no medical. Over a week since bio request. I hope it’ll come before the bio request expires :(
Same for me. waiting.... need to go to another country to pass

Hi. Can I know your timeline? From Philippines here
Application Received (Sydney): November 13, 2018
AOR: January 22, 2019
SA: January 22, 2019
MR: January 21, 2019
MVO (Mississauga): Feb 1, 2019
Medical Passed: Feb 5, 2019

My timeline is a little weird because our medical request somehow came before our AOR and SA.
Maybe there was an issue or delay in the notification for my AOR/SA

Fingers crossed they start rolling out soon. Can you book appointments for biometrics at his local VAC? I'd book in towards the end of his request date and chance it. You don't want to let that request expire really.

That means you are eligible to sponsor your spouse. The terminology is called SA (Sponsor Approval). Congratulations!

The sponsor will also get an email outlining whether they've been approved or denied. It's usually within the next couple of days after ECAS changes.

Hi All,

Out land immigration

I am an Indian got married to Canadian in July 2018. My husband submitted my paper application in November 8018 in Canada.

We haven't received any update from the immigration office yet, but yes they responded to my email confirming that they have received my application.

They did mention that it is not yet processed or checked.

I was just wondering when will they start processing my application?

From the tracker, all of November's applicant's have had AOR, minus one or two that were returned back or additional documents have been requested.

When did you contact CIC? Was it via the webform?

Finally, try logging in to ECAS with the receipt number from your payment, it'll be a letter followed by nine digits. Use that and your sponsor's details:

Thank you for the quick response.

My application was mailed or couriered (not sure I will check and confirm) it was on 30th of October 2018.

I wrote to
IRCC.CECSCDoNotReply-NePasRepondreCSCEC.IRCC@cic.gc.ca on January 4th 2019 and received a confirmation email on the same day stating:

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We have verified the information you provided and can confirm that we received your application. It will be processed according to the date it was received.

To find out how long it may take to process your application, please visit the processing times page.

I tried logging in using my payment receipt number multiple times, this is what it says :

We are not able to identify you using the information you have provided.

IT also says this service is available for the clients who's application is in process.

Am I doing something wrong?

I'd try and give them a call to see what's going on. If you're in Canada call +1 888 242 2100, if you're outside of Canada try +613 944 4000.

I called them and they updated me relatively quickly. Thursday & Friday are the best days to call.

If you can't get through, you can contact them via the web form:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp

  1. Click Tell us more.
  2. Choose Yes for the "Have you submitted an application for" question.
  3. Choose No for the "Is your application being processed outside Canda?" question.
  4. Click the go-to web form button.
  5. In the type of application, choose sponsorship, then spousal in the box below.
  6. Fill all of the details in. However, in the application number box, put your receipt number in.
  7. For your enquiry, ask them if they can update you on your application as you've now been waiting nearly 4 months for AOR.
You'll get a reply within 7 days and they will provide an update.

They do allow for appointments yes. It’s sadly not very local. It’s a about a 6 hour trip in each direction. Would be nice to not have to do it on two separate occasions.
