I don't understand how the filing or visa office in-take works. I live in Mississauga (when i filed for citizenship) but my application got processed and test and interview was held at Scarborough. Whereas, members here living in Toronto or Scarborough their test/interview/Oath are done at Mississauga. This really doesn't make sense to me.

Does anyone know what's the logic behind it?

I’ll be finishing my journey in month 15th, ECAS updated today I’ll be attending oath ceremony on March 9th, haven’t receive official letter in my email yet!

Finished my oath taking ceremony today! Finally, became a Canadian Citizen! Great feeling, lots of memories flashed into my mind while singing the National Anthem! Thank you everyone for your support. Its a long journey and wish everyone a speedy and great success!
The only thing I know which helps is PATIENCE and PERSEVERANCE.
Today, 77 people took the oath and each one has a story. Every story that begins will also have an end. In my case, it took 8 years since I filled my first application form to be a part of this great country! Long live Canada!
Once again, I wish everyone GOOD LUCK and BEST WISHES. Start memorizing the National Anthem! That great moment is waiting for everyone of you and WILL COME FOR SURE!

Yepp its been 13 months for me too... NO INVITE YET!!!! Tried contacting IRCC multiple times... NO FP request for me..... (guess that explains my app as ROUTINE)... Even MP got the answer that everything is OK with my file... i can expect a test invite anytime now... ( this has been the case since SEPT 2018).... No point in following up with IRCC....

Thought NON ROUTINE APPS take more time to process, but here i have seen others getting FP Req and getting processed faster....

Lot of people who applied later have finished the process.. specially from places like Calgary/Edmonton/ Montreal etc.....

The max we can do is to WAIT...

whats your country of origin or passport?
if you dont mind me asking?
just wondering why some applications go straight to sleep mode

after DM, is the next process to wait for oath? Or can we still expect RQ or any other complications even after DM stage?

Hey anyone from hamilton still waiting. Its been one year and I am still waiting.

Does not make sense as people who applied in august and september are almost done under 4 months but mine is still waiting .!!!

waiting for 15 months, Hamilton office. No news, no test invite, when I followup same standard reply. my neighbor on same street, everything done in 4.5 months (including fingerprints) and that too NOT an urgent case. don't know how these people work. beyond any sense.

there is no such thing as fast processing. I have been emailing them every 7/10 days, that it has been over 12 months. At least give me some time frame. All I get back is " Your application is in process, Rest assured you will be contacted if we need more information from you". Every time!

Same here, I contacted my MP, the office said background check passed, we try to expedite the process for my husband because of job travelling (we are waiting for an answer), also i called last week and they said they are going to send a message to the office if I haven't receive any news in 3 week call them back.. my next step order Caips to see my file bUT I am sure it is not touch since it was in process in May and must be together with all the persons in the 12+++ processing time.. My only suggestion will be at least give more information to the applicants it caN be a very frustrating process
..

No, I don't thinks so, but at least you can see the real status of your application..

Hi,
My status is now DM. On January 30, I received the invite for the ceremony that will take place on February 26.
I hope the date won't be postpone (I don't know if it can happen), I need to travel at the end of March, just the time to get my new passeport ;-)

No update till date. Me & wife called the call center to check what going on and they informed everything is good and now we have to wait for the test date and the agent asked to call again if we dont receive any update by 9th January 2019 (which will be 1 year)

Called CIC on 9th January and was informed that a note has been sent to Mississauga processing office to check whats the status!!!

Updates: 18th January 2019
Again called CIC to check if there any update from the processing office, but as the answer was NO!! So the agent asked us to call by end of January if we still do not get any communication and then they will again put a note on file to check with processing office, so I have no clue on the status... this is frustrating.....

Still no update on the test invitation or date.....will complete 13 months in few days!!!

Finally got the test date request today - Date-27th Feb 2019......after 13 months and 5 days of waiting
