Hi all members!

I'm new to this forum and I just have one question to ask you guys.

I received my ITA on 19 Dec 2018 and plan to submit my application on 18 Jan 2019. As far as I know, I would most probably receive the AOR right after I click the submit button right? Now the thing is, I plan to visit the US this June 2019 as a visitor and this will be my first time applying for a US visa.
My question is, if my US visitor visa gets refused, do I need to update the situation to IRCC and will this affect my application for Canadian PR at all? Or after receiving AOR, I don't need to worry about anything else?

Thanks everyone in advance,
Lam

You only need to update them with all the travel history and visa refusals if any until the day you submit your application. Once you submit the application, no need to update them with any travels unless specifically asked by IRCC.

Thank you for your reply!
May I please ask you another question? My wife used to apply for student visa in the US and her application had been rejected in the first place (she failed the interview she said); however, later on she still managed to obtain the visa successfully to study in the US and she studied there for 5 years and eventually got her US Bachelor degree.

My question is, we did declare this in the Express Entry application questionnaires, will this affect our chance to get Canadian PR at all?

Thanks heaps!

No, it shouldn't have any effect as long as you declared those truthfully in your Canadian application.
