As long as we are venting our frustration, let me join in! I Started applying to jobs in Canada expecting that a significant number of US resident applicants get their PR in less than 90 days. And I got a job offer, told them I could join no earlier than 15th Jan though they wanted someone to start by Dec (the selection happened in October). "Just to be on safeside," I told myself at that point! And here I am still waiting for the PPR with the file approved! I have asked to push the joining date to Feb 1st, they agreed, at least for now. Don't know how much I can push that if IRCC keeps delaying any further! That job's many of my wishes come true, location and work wise! Looks like IRCC is set on destroying it with its delay! Talk about bad luck!

The issue I have with IRCC is that they said they are looking to process all the applications within 6 months. I interpret that as maximum processing time. If they had said it will take anywhere from 4 - 6 months; then I would have started worrying from 4th month on wards considering the 4 month as minimum duration and 6th month as maximum. Also, I see PPR getting issued within a time frame as low as 47 days and I am disappointed that mine is taking more than 4 months. Like many of us here; I am sick of my current job. It is been like that for past 1.5 years. I want to move on and embrace new opportunities; plan my life ahead; plan my kid's school year and so on & so forth.

I have noticed! People really seem to be picking on you for no apparent reason. I couldn’t believe the now deleted conversation on the US thread as well! I guess people really don’t like the name 'Bandit Queen' ‍
Whoa! Never even thought about that! It was my Game of Poker name so just used that!

That must be really difficult, especially when there are so many blogs and quora posts talking about how difficult it is to find a job in Canada. I really hope you get it in this month itself. Do follow the June thread, those guys really find creative solutions and a lot of people benefit from it like emailing NDVO. But if you don't read that thread twice everyday you will miss out on important stuff as they chat a lot and have fun, despite the harrowing wait time they are facing. Take a screenshot if you find something important even if its for future things. It is very difficult to find something you want on that thread a mere few days later. Best wishes.

I did follow it for a bit, until it got overwhelming. And yeah, tried the NDVO, no luck there either.

I said this before because I saw it being discussed in some Facebook group. Some mean-spirited people called and emailed CIC, also emailed that MP Ralph complaining about US residents getting PPR in 2 or 3 months while they had to wait longer. They wrote things like 'What makes applicants in the US special when we all pay the same application fee.' Yes, witches and wizards exist. At this point, all we can do is wait..
That seems so sad that someone would do that.!

Yeah i know that sucks...also realizing as i see people over 6months w/o ppr, there are not much that call agent would do for you even after 6 months, so i would like to ask to one agent, what they are going to do if we call after 6 months??????

But that's strange, have you only called once to the agent? cause some agent may give you wrong information...you might be in recommend pass.

Thanks a lot!

I just called them and, after over 45 mins on the phone, a decent lady informed me that my application has been approved but they did not send me any emails yet and that they might not be sending one soon. According to her, it could take up to the end of the 6 months period, which is more than 2 months from now for me.

It seems very inconvenient but I think there nothing to do except waiting.
Same case here, my profile is approved since 2 weeks and still no PPR mail :(

Then I guess same is the status with me, as no update has happened after MEP. And there are many others from September who have no updates after MEP.

Agree with you! I have even started looking for a new job here, just to move on from where I am working.

The eligibility process is to determine whether or not an applicant is eligible. So yes, if they find something contrary or unsatisfactory, a file can be rejected. Although most rejections are at the first stage (R10) where they check if all the requirements and documents have been provided.
Thank you for your reply. Appreciated.
