I understand this is quite a waiting game but since Sept 27th, we have not received a word ...

What kind of letter and to whom. I wrote an email to Mexico City VO to inform them of a change in my phone number. Looks like they didn't give a heck and told me to restrain the communication with them...

Pre-Arrival invitation means your Eligibility is passes and it shows you good impression that everything is going well but although if you don;t get it ,it doesn't mean something bad . wish you all the best .
I applied for tourist visa and get refusal during my sponsorship , it has been 10 months now and I am still waiting .

Pre-arrival December 7 2018
-gcms notes received last week, eligibility, criminality passed. Positive notes from officer saying next step-PR. dated Dec 17 2018.
-I emailed Mexico asking if they need anything as we have no updates and they responded back saying we are in queue for the final stage.
So...we r waiting, knowing our application is approved. So happy and frustrating at the same time. Gkey and Ecas not updated.

Congratulation Man , it is your final steps . does it mean your PR as it dates 17 dec 018 ? or still waiting cause there is not updated on Gkey or Ecas . I applied for Gcms notes 10 days ago ? How many days waiting until getting notes ? I am under family sponsership .

I got pre arrival and emailed about status. They sent back saying that we are queued for interview.... so confused. Is it normal to get pre arrival and then get interview? My app was February 2 2018.

That's confusing Because Pre-arrival means that your Eligibility is approved ,but don't worry it is good to ask you for interview . Be yourself as long as your relation is genuine . Stay confident . Good luck . I wish you good news . When will be your interview ? search for interview question it will be so easy for you .

Very unlikely. Pre arrival means eligibility passed. They might have found something in the final review. Contact your MP.

MP can inquire directly with the IRCC. I strongly suggest you apply for your GCMS notes and see what the officer is concerned about. Notes can take up to 35 days to process so you should apply immediately and prepare accordingly.
