Hello all,
I am in great dilemma regarding overlapping of work experience with my education. I didn't find my answer anywhere in the forum.
Actually, I have got two education credentials i.e a bachelor's degree from (2014 to 2018 june) and a CA intermediate certificate(2015 to 2017) which WES recognised as 4 year bachelor degree for my bachelors and 1 yr diploma for my CA Inter. As my study is in Nepal, I did my bachelor's from government college which donot require attendance. Infact, most of the students in Nepal do jobs while studing bachelor's because they donot need to attend classes. I did the same.
My issue is, how should I explain that the work experience except from experience letter by employer and all. Wouldn't they question me how I did my full time job along with full time study. How should I tackle this case??
Need serious suggestions..Please..

A search on the forums shows that you're fine to claim for both the full-time study and full-time work provided that neither of them is in Canada. I'm in the same situation and am claiming for both.

I also asked the same question, and members told me it's fine and if you want you can even skip the LOE.

I did a search before I submitted my profile and another search today upon seeing your thread just to confirm, but I didn't save the link. You can do a search and will find plenty of people having the same situation like us and the advice is universal as I said earlier. In fact, as a lawyer, I also read up on the Canadian legal text and find the same answer.

For me, I've just got my ITA and is preparing for eAPR.

In your case, did you need to attend your classes or not?
Did you mention something in LOE??

Yes my degree was really full time, only at night time and weekends instead of day time. I'm not planning to explain it.

By the way @Vvek, they will ask you to upload the degree certificate, transcript, and ECA report. For me, all these docs clearly say my degree is full time. I hope none of yours say your degree is not full time.

Yes, it's full time and all the degree certificate could prove it but it was on day time.

Hi, this Q&A is under topic 29
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/index-a-z-can.asp
which is applicable for Canadian Experience Class (CEC). There are certain restrictions under CEC such as:
"Self-employment and work experience gained while you were a full-time student (such as on a co-op work term) doesn’t count under this program."
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/canadian-experience-class.html
Basically, if you're full-time student in Canada, your work experience doesn't count.

Hey All, I'm facing same issue. My PG is regular and in different city. It wasn't mandatory to attend classes so I went to city for exams only while working in different city.

Now I'm confused if it will cause conflict in my case? How can I justify that I was doing regular degree while being a full time employee in different city.

Please help!!
