Visa for January 2019 status

I'm on the same page. Applied online inside Canada on 4th of December, after passing medicals and the reviewing of eligibility, it got to the Background Check stage and it's stuck there! After further communications with IRCC, I got informed that my application's going through Additional Verification and because of that it's out of the normal processing time... Here starts the disaster since no one knows how long this might take

What is the normarl reprocessing time
I am worried when they will update the status. Review takes so long to arrive at a decision?! Those who have applied in the first week of December’18 and for May’19 program, please update/share info here even if you have any small notification from IRCC. It will help others to anticipate what to expect.
Is there anyone who applied for Jan19 intake after December 1 and got the visa or get rejected .
I applied on dec 1st for 2019 jan intake but I dint get my visa till now still waiting and from 10 days its showing it's under final decision.
I applied on 3rd of DECEMBER . For May 2019 intake but still on process and no notification from IRCC since then.
I applied visa for Jan intake(online under SDS) on 28 Nov and my application was refused on 13 dec under
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
Then on 17th Dec I reapplied and got refusal for the second time on 4 th Jan
They didn't mention any reason ,neither on online account nor when I collected my passport from vfs
I am confused should I file again or not.
I completed my graduation in Bcom (hons) in2018 from DU with second division and have 7 band's in IELTS
What should I do ?

Don't worry, there might be some issue in your application due to which you are getting refusal again and again. VISA officer evaluate the application of each applicant as per the Canadian study visa laws. Hence, there is the only best way is to apply for CAIPS NOTES at " http://www.caips.ca/ " it will cost $120 and will take around 30 days to get the details explanation report in your hand with the reason behind your rejection.
Once, you have the reasons for rejection can submit your application again in a better way and will have higher chances of getting visa approval.
