Just checked my ECAS and see I got an additional info request on 3rd Jan - expecting mail any time now. I'm assuming it's fingerprints but no idea why that would be!!??

I believe request for additional info or finger prints request. As per to why, your name might be similar to some other person. Or may be just it's a way to put applications in non-routine pile so that they can say that they completed 80% of the routine files within a year. Just a guess.
