If you read back a couple of pages yoI'll see that it's happened to quite a number of people and you can also see the actions some took. Good luck.

Thanks @tobs for your reply.

I did go back few pages and found two more candidates in same situation but think they too are planning to send an email to Nova Scotia.
Think i should wait till they receive a reply or till my application's 6 months get over.

Also read all the way back about e-mailing NDVO maybe its an option you can consider

Try to find out the status of your application by calling or raising a webform.
Go through this thread to find out how.

Sounds good @tobs . But, don't you think that web form has a better chance of receiving a reply than an email has?

Got a ghost update on 3rd Jan and another one today 5th Jan.
FSW/O
Office: Ottawa
AOR 25 July
ADR/Medical Passed on 16 Aug
ADR RCMP fingerprint submitted on 29Aug
No updates after that
GCMS generated on 27/sep showed
Eli: Recommend pass (since 25/sep)
Crim: In progress (since 29 aug)
Sec: Not Started

Called CIC after ghost update on 4th Jan, agent said criminality and eligibility both passed and only security is the only assessment left.

And got a ghost update again on a Saturday here, possibly late Friday in Ottawa. Fingers crossed.

Anyone applying from Dubai?
Aor: July 20
Raised CSE but got a generic reply.
VO is Ottawa and eligibility is on review.

Hard to get through to the agent.
Any other number to contact from dubai?

Ok. Yes not all of the approved cases get Ghosts, though majority of them do, thats why I asked. I havent got a ghost as well, and would like to think that mine may have got approved without a Ghost update. fingers crossed !!

Guys who are emailing or raising CSE who are approaching but haven’t reached 6 months yet be aware that CIC do specify that they won’t reply to CSE raised outside of standard processing times (6 months)

Just a quick FYI that you shouldn’t be surprised if you don’t hear anything back or at best, get a generic email back.

It’s best to wait till you hit your 6 month date indicated by your progress bar before contacting for updates. (I imagine this is also why a lot of the call centre agents are “rude” because they get people calling way before they reach the 6 month period) plus we have seen people get PPR on their 6 month date! :D

You think they give a specific reply post 6 months? If yes, you're mistaken.

Also, there is no restriction in raising a CSE before 6 months. Many have raised and they will get to know if their file is approved. The rule is this, you can expect a specific reply only if your file is approved. If it is not, it doesn't matter whether you are under 6 months or over 6 months they will give a generic reply.
