Renting a place in Toronto

Assuming you are newcomer, hope you have a job to sign a lease.
I found it impossible to sign a lease without credit, co-signer or job. For one application, i was even willing to pay an entire years rent in advance around 25k and went through a real estate agent and it was declined. Tried applying online for other apartments and those two were rejected.
Demand drives those rentals. In one such lease, there were 30 applications for the same apartment. So you can guess what happens when one doesn't have a job or credit. Eventually, i managed to find a sublet from Kijiji and saving some good money as well.
Anyways, look at apartment reviews and put it in an application online and go from there. I found this more bureaucratic than dealing with Service Ontario.
