Application received August 30
Never heard anything so I phoned on Dec 10
Received AOR Dec 11, was able to link account immediately
PA from Cuba, Sponsor: Canadian Citizen

Review of eligibility - Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility
Review of medical results - You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Review of additional documents - We need additional documents
Interview - You do not need an interview
Biometrics - We do not need your fingerprints
Background check - We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision - Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

The additional document is a Police Cert. which I will be submitting shortly.

All correspondence so far has been from Sydney N.S.
A lot of people say BGC is one of the final steps
Questions:
1. Why would the BGC be the 1st step in my application and would this be a good or bad thing.
2. Is it normal to start the BGC while the application is still in Sydney
3. Does this mean it is likely this app will stay in Sydney

Thanks
I think it is more a template sentence written there for everyone one. Like the sentence said you don’t need medical while we know it is not true.

Yes, it is.
Only when BGC shows up on the bottom in the messages area that will mean your personal check has started.

Conditional Discharges are not counted towards this as a ban. If NO trial took place?

Received a SA today !
(Application received 29th August

Do you think I should expect medical request before transfer to VO ?
Or is there any possility of not transefing to VO , according to your experiences.
Thanks

Hello evryone
I am just little worried now
App recieved 27 August
Aor1- 20 November
Sa and med req- 27 nov
Med done- 10 December
Med passed 13 December
Silence since then no transfer email or anything
Pa- India ,vO -NDVO
I know most people get transfer email by now and in most cases within 10-15 days of med request
Does this mean they arnt even touching our file now or is it going to ndvo??
If so why there is so much delay in transfer email ?
Any insights will be highly appreciated

Neha Ji these days they do more work on files right here in Canada; under WORK Sharing plan. Your file may have been touched yesterday but no one will tell you except GCMS notes. On top they are not doing any GCkey or ecas updates these days, it could be shortage of staff due to Holidays season... File transfer is not necessarily a good thing if it's being reviewed right here. I confirmed with very nice Agent that they are doing many checks right here for some files, that includes CRIM checks for both Sponsor and Applicant.
Imagine! Your file may be here but NDVO is working on it! World is getting smaller and smaller with network and Satellites. I wrote here what I heard. We cannot do too much; worst come to worst it is MAX limit of 1 YEAR. Even after that, there are procedures like ADR, Appeals . I HOPE we never see that far GOD Bless all genuine applicants. Myself may be more worried than you are :( But we are here to encourage each other. I don't see any updates happening till 1st week of JAN= just only my own roughest guess, but miracles can happen anytime. Our file over 1 month since MED passed, now SILENCE .... TAKE CARE stay happy :)
