Noticed that Sept applicants are seeing their BGC "in process" on mycic. Are any of you here seeing their BGC in process?? Mine still says "Not Applicable"

Mine also says not applicable too.
I just got my OWP approved so will take some time until my BGC get started. .

Btw did you guys submit Police certificate that was issued within a year? Mines were over a year, since IRCC doesn't mention it.

Medical request: Nov 13.
Medical finished: Nov. 28.
Medical passed: Dec.13.

I got OWP by mail today!! (in Manitoba) Faster than I expected!!

This is my time line!
Aug 20 sent to application to IRCC
Aug 24 IRCC recieved
Sep 20 Got application number, and linked
Nov 13 Medical request
Nov 14 Got Medical exam
Nov 23 Medical passed
Dec 05 OWP approved
Dec 13 OWP delivered

Yeah I'm also confused as to why some people from September a getting their background check processed.
And also confused about the biometrics!

I have noticed that has been no updates since last Thursday, specially abou OWP

Guys, I have a question, we already received my wife's OWP in the mail and she has a Visitor's Multiple Visa valid until 2026. Can she re-enter country without any problem? She's been staying with me for a year now. I am a Canadian citizen. She just needs to go back to her country for 19 days to attend an important matter.

I've read this in their website.


Can I leave Canada while IRCC processes my application for permanent residence?
Yes. However, if you leave Canada while your application is being processed, you must meet all the admissibility rules before being allowed back into Canada.

If you leave Canada and want to return, you must have all the required documents to enter. This can include:

• a valid passport or other travel documents,
• a valid work permit or study permit, if you need one, and
• a valid visitor visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), if you need one.

If you are unable to return to Canada, we could determine that you abandoned your application. In that case, we will not process it.

You gave yourself the information you needed.

we already received my wife's OWP in the mail and she has a Visitor's Multiple Visa valid until 2026

If your wife already got OWP then, there's no more implied status, as the OWP give us legal status in Canada. The OWP is not a travel document so, she can use the valid visitor visa that she already have, or ETA if applicable.

Can she re-enter country without any problem?

No one here can respond it for you, its up to each person decide to travel or not during in-land process, and it's up to the border agent decide if someone can enter or not in Canada.

However, I personally know people who have travelled more than 2 times and they were admitted at the border without any issues.
I would travel with all this documents and probably it should be ok.

We have the same timeline (Aug 29th), and I haven't heard anything about OWP yet either.

I renewed my passport, and will be using this new passport to apply for an OWP (I didn't apply at the same time of the application).
I was advised to update my passport info on CiC file by using the Webform. But in the Webform, I don't really know which category to choose. Does Webform let me attach a scan of my new passport? Or should I mail a certified copy?

Anyone here who has done this process before?

I uploaded a scanned picture of my new passport and sent it via the webform a few months ago. I didnt recieve any acknowledgement that it was updated on my account, so dont expect to hear from them about it.

Seen on the October Inland thread that someone has been approved and recieved their physical copy of OWP.

Some of us here are still waiting.

Did they skip us? Very frustrating!

Been checking mail & gckey daily. Gckey says still processing. Doesn't explain why they've bypassed some and started working on Sept/Oct applications.
