Hi guys, I am preparing the documents for my application and I just have some questions and really need your guys help.

1. I currently hold a PGWP and it will expire on July 2020. I am planning to send inland application and I know the processing time would be longer. I am just wondering should I apply a open work permit together with my application just in case my PGWP expire and the common law sponsorship is still processing?

2. I am a little confused about the order of the documents. What I understand is that I should put the documents in the order as: checklist, open work permit application (if I am applying), barcode, IMM forms, supporting documents, letter of explanation.

thanks!!

If you have valid status until 2020 you're better off applying outland as it's often faster than inland.

Thanks for your reply! I am currently working full time in Canada, so I might have to apply inland. In this situation, should I apply a open work permit together with my application?

You can apply outland from inside Canada. Most people who are in your situation who already have status until 2020 would apply outland from inside Canada. It makes zero sense for you to apply inland and apply for an OWP.

I applied Outland while living in Canada on a PGWP which expired in 2021. I got approved in 4 months and did not lose my PGWP status while the PR application was in process

Agree with above that an outland app is by far the better choice for you.

thanks for the advise, I guess I will do outland application then! but which class of application should I check on my checklist? "I am currently living outside of Canada and applying under Family Class" or "I am currently living in Canada, applying under family class".
