Hi everyone, me and my husband just received an invite to an interview on the 18th and I'm a bit nervous. I read that if you're invited for an interview it's because there are red flags but I didn't think we had any. My husband says that it's probably just routine but I'm not sure. Should we practice interview questions just to be safe? And how likely is it that we would be denied?

What does it say? If you applied inland it's more than likely that it's a landing interview which is absolutely nothing to worry about and would be the day you land as a PR.

Like @kcward7 said, this is most probably just the standard landing appointment (they should probably stop calling it an interview and spare people the stress, lol). What does the email say? Is it just a generic instruction telling you to bring the passport, two photos, proof of current status, etc? That's just a normal landing appointment that lasts about ten minutes (they ask a couple of technical questions) and then you officially land.

If they instructed you to bring specific documents that relate to the genuine nature of your relationship or cohabitation or anything like that (if they're asking for more proof), then it's an interview.

Thanks for getting back to me, the email is exactly as you and kcward described. He's been living in Canada for over a year now and has a work visa but I'm sure it's still just a landing appointment type of thing. This has made me feel 1000 times better. Thanks again! :)

So was it just a quick appointment? Any detailed questions? Hope it went well!
