Sponsoring husband from Morocco

Thank you so you know how long after they receive medical do they respond and is medical last thing or not thanks.

Normally the medical test is the first thing they ask for. For example I sent my application in March. It was received by CIC on Apr 21. By May 4 they had requested my wife to complete her medical test. After they receive the medical results, it can take some time. However if the medical results are over a year then they will ask for you to redo the medical tests when they make a decision to give you the visa.

My daughter is 7 years old. She s a canadian citizen she was born in morocco.
Im thinking of sponsoring my wife
Will my application have to go trough screening for genuine marriage ?
Another question that i have : im on odsp will that make it hard to sail trough the processing of cic ? Thank you ?

If this is the first marriage for both you and your wife, the processing should be fast. The pattern tends to be if your both Moroccan, never married before and have known each other for more than 2 years they complete your application quickly and you most likely will not need an interview. I’m just curious, what is ODSP?

Hey guys
i sponsored my wife in Feb 8, 2018 and received mail on Feb 14, 2018 that they received my file and are working on it. She received her medical in early april and her file got approved in mississauga and i received a letter from rabat VO on may 3rd that they have received and working on her file. In oct they asked for more documents which i provided but i put some documents on a usb and 2 weeks later they asked for same docs but paper version and we didnt give them fiche aromathique we gave them the police report by mistake so we rectified and gave them the correct additional papers they requested on Nov 7th and its been over 2 weeks now

Any idea of where the processing is at anyone apply on or around these dates or ahead of us and are still waiting? we havent received anything or response since

me and my wife are getting anxious and are trying to plan the holidays december jan and feb accordingly as i m living in canada and she is in morocco. A good idea from you guys about our situation would greatly help me as it will allow us to plan whether i will just go and move around the world with her till she gets her papers

When do you guys think in terms of waiting how much more time do u think it will take before she gets a call for interview or any kind of response to further her application?

I totally understand your anxiousness as me and my wife are feeling the same way. If you order the GCMS notes, they will give you more details on the processing of you application. It's suppose to take a month to deliver and cost $5. Other than the notes, i'm not sure of another way of knowing the status of your application.

We applied in March. With the additional documents the time is different for everyone. A lot of people on this thread have sent additional documents and waited for like 7 months. Other people I spoke with waited just 2 weeks.

The fact you are on ODSP can potentially complicate your application. IRCC will want to ensure your spouse doesn't end up on assistance as well once she arrives. Best option to avoid issues is to show that your spouse is currently working through providing evidence of that with your application and say that your spouse plans to continue working once arriving in Canada.

Hi I’m feb 23 2018 they asked me for more relationship proof on oct 2 and on oct 27 they asked my husband to do his medical and it’s been almost 2 weeks now it shows on Ecas that they have received the medical but where still waiting

wafa i think we are both in same boat here give and take kindly keep in touch so we can track the progress of the application

in my case its my wife so does that make a difference

I have no ideas I’m also trying to get answer from someone no one seems to have an answer to my question but I will let you know if I get any updates but you send application before me so you might get a respond before me
