I am in the same boat. My AOR is 7th July and I'm still waiting. I also have visited more than 6 other countries including US.
I think that it depends on your travel history. The more countries you have visited, the more time it takes for them to process your case. I am suspecting this because my friends who applied after 2 months than me and have a really short travel history got their PPR last week.

Anyone else here thinks that processing times depends on travel history? It's just my theory so don't attack me

if you have a lot of travel, you will have more to verify,
just to say if you travel to the USA, sister Europe countries (except balBaltic countries ) easy to verify, but other countries it will be difficult,
if you are resident of Pakistan, Syria, Cuba or Russia tight scrutiny will be there, other 10 countries are there in the list, it usually, if you are good and honest you no need to worry about anything

For how long is IRCC shut down for Christmas holidays (time frame)? I am trying to figure out by how many months my application will be delayed, considering my " Eligibility Is In Progress - Review Required"

Hi, i had asked this question to the ircc agent and was informed that they will be in holidays on decemebr 25th, 26th and january 1st. A slight delay of 1 or 2 days may occur. Not all of them are entitled for 2 weeks holidays.

You can't do your landing in Montreal but you can move to Montreal post landing anywhere else.

But won't it effect the Citizenship process later on if for instance we never stayed outside of Montreal throughout our residency?

I have consultant friends with PR working here in Montreal. If your job is is Montreal, you have to stay and work.
But I am not sure it affects the Citizenship. Point to be explored

Yes. correct. I have observed people here take more vacation time in Summers are they like to enjoy and explore.
In Snow, I doubt they will take long vacations.

there is no Canadian law prevents from becoming a citizen after you get PR, make sure you did not involve in any criminal activity of any sort,
you are allowed to move from one province to another, they will ask why you moved there, you need to say a better job opportunity, you could not secure a job in the province you landed. as long as you are not a criminal you will get your citizenship

What list? Can you share the link of the countries?

When your PR is approved (your passport is stamped), your previous status in Canada is not valid anymore (e.g. student, work). So, you need to apply for PRTD when you are in India which might take sometime to get it (2 weeks) but it's absolutely a headache anyways. I would avoid it but if you have already planned for it and if you are going to stay for more than two weeks, you should be fine to get PRTD before you are coming back.

If you don't need a visa (or you have a visa) to enter US, this plan works.
