hi thanks for the reply, the pay was monthly (fixed) and hours were full time for 2.9 years. i switched 1 company but never took a break from previous company. i should select 2 years or 3 years in the cic points calculator?

You must select the amount of years you have completed. So, as you mentioned, 2 years.
@arthurbr @legalfalcon I also have a similar situation. I worked for a company for 2 years than took 1 year break for MBA. And now have been working for another company for 2 years. However, I only want to claim points for these recent 2 years and not for the previous one.
Will it raise any kind of suspicion for VO or is it ok? Also should I mention that employment or not??

Thank you so much for the detailed answerYou get points or the work experience you claim. So if your do not want to claim points for a specific period where you worked, you can remove it from your work experience, and no work reference letter will be asked. There is no need to explain either.
Please be advised that you get maximum MEC points for 3 + years of work experience. You have to meet 67 points out of 100. So if you do, you can remove any work experience for which you do not wish to claim points.
