Out of status- CBSA visit. Exclusion order..help!!

Because I have been out of status. Yes, the exclusion order was handed to me in the interview. PRRA is the Pre-removal risk assessment. Are you in the same situation?

Are you worried for this long delay? I am inquiring because I am sponsoring my husband who is out of status and filled out a PRRA that was rejected last month in which he now has an Exclusion order on file. The CBSA officer 2 days ago from our call-in meeting is willing to wait for the sponsorship app to be completed. We submitted inland in March 2018. I am hoping we will hear a decision made by December 2018 as Jan 2018 apps are being approved now. Hearing that you are in your 16 month is concerning me...

I am a bit worry that they can actually deport me, Although their policy is to wait until a decision has been made, that's the deferral of removal. About my application I am not really worried as we most likely will have a relationship interview (since our application was sent back to our local office without me having AIP).

I am pretty sure you'll be fine, but I'll suggest to you to not get excited about the one year mark, there could be delays.

No, I am not in the same situation. I am a curious person who likes to understand and know about cic and cbsa procedures in case I need it one day. I was curious ro know how cbsa finds out about the out of status person, if cic tells them or if it is due some experiencie with the police, or even biometric check for the police certificate (as someone said previously). I have a close friend who did the common law inland and she was out of status, nothing happened to her and she is already a PR without interview or delay. I also have another friend out of status who has just sent off her application.
I have read somewhere that some applications are processed by cbsa agents, not only cic agents work on them. Maybe this is another reason for them to go over someone to give exclusion order. I just dont understand why? If they see that there is an app being processed. Do people need to pay for PRRA? Maybe this is a reason.

I do not really know either. I have never committed any crime neither been on the radar of CBSA nor have been denied a refugee claim or handed a deportation or removal order until now. So I am also curious and would love to know why they choose my application. I guess I was just unlucky.

By the way, they wont deport you if you keep yourself low profile and dont make any trouble. It has costs for the government to deport someone who is going to be back soon. Unless they refuse your application you shouldn't be worried. And if they refuse for some reason, the applicant should leave before they get deported and apply outland.

The "public policy" kind of protects you in this situation. Cic and cbsa have an agreement to not have applicants out of status deported. (Of course if people dont do anything they are not allowed to). Have a good evening!

Haha I see. "Kind of.." bc it is not because you are "protect" that you cant be deported if you do something bad or illegal.

Hi there. We are still waiting. Hubby has been signing in with CBSA once a month. Still no mention of PRRA. Medical request recieved done and passed in Oct. Now waiting for SA/AIP. Fingers crossed but so far everything has been going smoothly

I have a friend who was out of status and just recieved PR with no issues
He was never caught during the process
The reason we got involved with CBSA was during the app process we did Canadian fingerprints which we didnt have to do but didn't realize . Through the fingerprints cbsa found hubby and did administrative arrest and exclusion order. So far we have been ok tho. Actually worked out for the best as it put a rush on us to get the app in asap and no more looking over our shoulders
