My course staring in first week jan 2019 and my tickets booked for 2 dec2018 ie. 4 weeks prior to course..Now someone told me that there are new rules that person cannot enter BEFORE THREE WEEKS of course start date...Is it true ...I have booked my tickets in advance should i change it ....Pl. reply

False! Unless somebody posts this new rule directly from a link in IRCC website

But it is not compulsory
Acc to new notifaction from cic, student should entre canada only three weeks before starting of course. It is recommended but not compulsary.
Immigration officier may ask you that y r u coming 1 month earlier

And this was also told to you by someone. Can you back it up with facts? CIC link or recommendation notification? We have some members here whose visa have been recently approved but none of them got the notification that you are talking about

U got an confirmation mail. For jan 2019 intake additional line has been written on the mail that "it is recommented that u should enter canada 3 weeks before your course starting date"

This is a complete rumour and people like you are spreading it here.

I have two known people who got visa for Jan 2019 start at Montreal collegw and none of them have this extra line in the email. Also they are coming next week to Montreal which is approximately 7 weeks before their class start.

Is this for certain applicants from certain countries only? Because I did not receive such notice when my visa was approved. Neither did my friend. We’re both from the Philippines.

The 2 students who are coming to Montreal next week are from India. They didn't get it either. Let us wait for the proof if there's one
