A little context would help - why does he need a notary / commissioner of oaths?

hello everyone and good evening to you all..i wanted to ask what is a notary public or a commission of oaths and how can they provided as i don’t have a lawyer?
These professionals are able to make certified copies. I believe sworn affidavits as well. They are alternatives to lawyers for getting legal documents. Most EE applicants do not need them, so ...

A notary public is someone who is licensed to make notarized (legal) documents; does not have to be a lawyer (can be a paralegal), so the fee is usually lower than going to a lawyer.

A Commissioner of Oaths is a public servant who can do the same thing. Sometimes a fee is required, sometimes it is not. I was able to get certified copies made for free from a Commissioner of Oaths at my local Service Canada office. Not all have them, you will have to check around. Google is your friend - search your community name and "commissioner of oaths" to find one. Usually the cheapest (if least convenient) option.

thank you very much..so i write the statutory declaration and it send it to them to sign it..is that correct?
No. For it to be legalized, you have to sign the document in front of the notary / commissioner. Sometimes requires a witness as well. Depends on what kind of document you need.

yes, we are
So each of you would need your own account. What is the statutory declaration for? Sorry, hope that's not too nosy, but I'm just curious if you actually need a notary/commissioner of oaths...
