Well now they said they are working in September 18 applications and most August applications are waiting for AOR

I’m from India too let’s c what happen next.. my file in missisauga too

In my family recently we have three spouses cases and for all of them they transferred to ndvo when bg went in process.. so..
I think all marriage pictures and ceremonies in pictures will be verified by ndvo...
My spouse is from India too. We only did a civil marriage and didn't do any traditional function. After that my spouse left for India and we applied outland. We've been in a relationship for more than 2 years now. Do you think it is necessary to have a traditional wedding if you're from india?
Thanks

I think so... u must give them explanation about this.

You will need to leave Canada to give biometrics if your file is being processed overseas
I doubt that.
Maybe it is best to call CIC and ask.
They will answer to these kind of questions, right?

True!
last week someone got AOR after waiting over a 100 days. So seems they are not in a rush for our AORs.
But they use to tell us they are busy with applications up to 24th of july (what i was also told on the phone). I was wondering what date are they on now?
has anyone called cic lately? any specific time or explanations has been given?

I am a July 31st applicant - my wait is currently at 104 days..... AND NOTHING!

no email, no AOR, nothing

I called CIC 2 weeks ago, the agent basically told me that the July backlog is a lot, its taking 3-4 months for AOR , and to call back if I havent heard anything by the first week of December

FYI- the first week of December, will be 4 months for me since our app was received

Hello Garcia

If you have done this please ignore this message.

Please ask the call center to sent a reminder to access your file. I do not know whom they send a message, but in my case my application delivered August-17th, when i called on OCt-29th-2018, the call center sent a reminder to work on the file. Till now no updates!!

This is incorrect information and the information I gave was from CIC's website.

You can ask the person to call and they will get advised the same thing.

Next time it's best to research things like I did before I gave advice

Answer: You need to give your biometrics.

If you’re between 14 and 79 years old, you need to give your fingerprints and photo for all permanent resident applications, including:

You have to give your biometrics and pay the fee, even if you gave your biometrics in the past to support a visitor visa, study or work permit application, or a different permanent resident application.

After you submit your application, we’ll send you a letter that says you need to give your biometrics and where to go. You’ll have up to 30 days to go in person to an official biometrics collection service location.

If you’re in Canada and your application for permanent residence gets processed overseas, you need to give your biometrics. To do this, you’ll need to leave Canada. We’ll let you know if your file is sent to an overseas office.

That’s a good thing that you searched and thanks for correcting me.

However, I felt you are a bit angry by me for doubting your answer. I hope you understand I did not mean to disrespect by thinking twice over an answer without reference.

And thanks for the cic website citation again.

Not angry, like you I'm here to help and having people call CIC for information that's readily available online is something we should all avoid.

Hopefully this process will be soon for those waiting and previous people can come to share their experience.

In the OP's case I do wish they dont have to leave Canada for biometrics...

August 7 application recieved.
No AOR yet.
It’s been almost 100 days. The last response from IRCC was the biometric payment receiving confirmation.
