Dear @legalfalcon ,

I had received my NS PNP (NOC 2171) nomination in April this year and after accepting it I submitted my PR application in May (AOR 25th May, 2018). I had my medical & criminal passed and since July so I think that I am in IP2 state. I requested my GCMS notes in October and when received, I found that my application is in Review Requested - PNP Parked Case (case parked due to PNP verification). The officer noted that Primary Applicant doesn't have work experience in NOC 2174 which is different than my original PNP NOC 2171.

Also there is a Review Required for Proof of Funds even though I had sufficient funds on the bank letter submitted.

Should I raise a CSE and provide the current bank reference letter, current employer reference letter and PNP nomination letter and request them to review them? I am concerned about these notes and the status of my application.

Please advise. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Dear @legalfalcon pl reply to this point

The only way to select NOC is based on job duties. Select the one that best matches your job duties. Also your work reference letter job duties should substantially match the job duties of the NOC you select

Thanks a lot @legalfalcon for your reply.
I am being suggested NOC 0122 but to me it seems more inclined towards 6235. My concern is 6235 states completion of high school diploma with experience or bachelors degree maybe required whereas I have an ECA stating Masters. Do you suggest I can still chose to opt for 6235?

Hi @legalfalcon

I have a MBA degree from India (recognized by WES as a one year post graduate diploma). My current work experience is as financial analyst for 3 years in an e commerce MNC. The NOC 1112 suggests that qualification should be MBA in finance (but my masters is recognized by WES as one year diploma). There isnt any other code that i believe will match my work ex. What shall i do?

Thanks a lot @legalfalcon Yes the orginal document is in Chinese and then English with seal from local police station on same page.
Can you please predict when can I get my ppr mail ? AOR -16 June, IP1- 29 June, IP2/ADR - 24 oct and submitted on 2 November , ADR Change to NA on 3 November.

I don't believe in predictions. Rather, immigration is based on law and logic, not predictions. Your application seems to be moving smoothly.

Hi @legalfalcon I received my GCMS notes ordered few weeks back and i have already ordered another set of GCMS note what that will come at end of December. I have review required on the notes for MI A11.2. I have am uploading my case analyst notes from GCMS note.

I have few questions about the areas that I marked in yellow.
  1. why did my verified score only 375 out of 445.
  2. Why is my A11.2 review required, is it because of CRS score or is it due to my NOC type error.
  3. Is there anything i can do to fix this situation like send them something from my side.

I have not seen any movement on my file since July 12 after case analyst notes. i am AOR June 15th. please help .....

For MI3 see http://gazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p1/2011/2011-06-25/html/notice-avis-eng.html

To see why your score dropped, you will have to verify with each category. The notes do not indicate where you lost points.

Thanks @legalfalcon for the clarification. Currently I'm working in a company for almost 4 years and I have all the supporting documents from my company including the letter which states my job, duties, responsibilities and designation I hold. Do I still need to get the letter which explains the roles and responsibilities I held in my previous companies in addition to the offer letter, resignation letter which states my designation last I held, joining date and resignation date and the payslips??

IRCC only wants a work reference letter for each employment you are claiming points for. The work reference letter should contain:

a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
  • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
  • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits

You can add other documents to support your employment such as offer letter, ay stubs etc., but the work reference with the job duties is mandatory. If you cannot get a work reference letter, you can get a letter from a colleague (former or current) or any one familiar with your role at the company to give you such a letter in personal capacity.

You should obtain the GCMS notes and see why was the ban imposed and under what section.

Yes, you can submit additional documents and also give reference of the GCMS notes. This is where the GCMS notes help. If you applied For PNP for NOC 2171 it is absurd that the officer is asked for work experience under 2174, which definitely is a mistake.

So go ahead and submit the documents and clarification.

For the PoF, no need to worry, the analyst usually asks the officer to review PoF, if it has deposits etc. or is in a foreign currency. If you meet the PoF, no need to submit additional documents.

IRCC states:

Minimum work experience requirement
The applicant must have accumulated at least one year of continuous full-time (or the equivalent in part-time) paid work experience in the occupation identified in their application for permanent residence as their primary occupation. In calculating this period of work experience, the occupation must be listed in skill type 0 (Managerial occupations), skill level A (Professional occupations) or skill level B (Technical occupations and skilled trades) of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2016 [R75(2)(a)].

The applicant’s skilled work experience must also

  • have occurred within the ten years preceding the date of their application for permanent residence; and
  • not be in an occupation that has been designated as a restricted occupation.
Note: At the time of publication, no occupations were designated as restricted.

In addition, during that period of employment, the applicant must have

  • performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(b)]; and
  • performed a substantial number of the main duties, including all of the essential duties, of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(c)].
Note: The applicant does not need to demonstrate that they meet the “employment requirements” listed in the NOC occupational description.

You do not have to meet the educational requirements. What is important is that your job duties should substantially match those of the NOC selected.
