I assume they are still able to give you some kind of bank statement that shows your available funds so that shouldnt be an issue at all.

As long as they can provide you with a statement, post office should be no problem at all. Doesnt really matter where you have the funds, as long as you have a way of proving that you have them.

Yes, Post Office savings account balance can be shown as POF. Get the statement of the savings held and get it stamped by the Post Office. If you are the main applicant and the funds so in question is in your spouse's name, then you need to get a self declaration from your spouse stating that he/she is the co-applicant in your PR application and that he/she does not have any objection for the amount to be used for immigration purposes.

There is no standard format for the same. You can get it printed on a normal paper and get your wife to sign it. If you do a search you may find any format used by others on the forum.

Hey...I know it's quite late but were your funds in post office savings accepted by IRCC? If yes, then how did you go about the paperwork for the same?

I transfered the money into a bank account and provided proper loe for all the details for both the post office account and the new bank account

1. Did you provide any supporting document from the post office to support your LOE?
2. Also, the account in which you liquidated it, was it your salary or savings account? Does this make any difference anyways?

And if that was your savings accounts, I am assuming there wasn't any movement of funds as in for daily expenses...am I right?

Yes it was a fixed account and i shared the documents asked about ircc cant remember ,was bank letter acc to their requirements and same from post office
