Well it may be a good sign for you. Eligibility is set to "in process" in case files move across VOs. Its possible your file moved out of Montreal. In that case could be a good thing.
Ahh not that lucky to be moved out of Montreal :p
Agent told me that the file is at Montreal VO only and security and criminality has not started yet : (

Don't worry about security and criminality. In Montreal they show as not started till the last day of PPR. This was corroborated by at least two people who got PPR as they were talking to an agent and agent told them "Not started". Also, one of the April guys who got PPR had ordered GCMS notes just 2 days prior. The notes arrived a month later. He had PPR by then. I specially asked him what did Criminality and Security said. Guess What?

As per GCMS notes security and criminality were shown as not started 2 days before PPR email. Plus only one candidate till now has reported a ghost update from Montreal and rest all got straight PPR .. which just tells me it will be just straight mail. Do not bother much with interim updates.

Thanks Cansha for this post.
I have another question and hope you can help. Note one is gmcs note is made by the analyst at Montreal in Aug recommended review required for client info. . Note 2 is done by program assistant at CIO in May before transfered to Montreal due to workload redistribution.

So can I conclude that Note 1 is the last note before a case officer pick up the file and make final decision?

Yes note 1 is the most recent note. The program assistant note just makes sure all documents are in place also called the R10 completeness check and technically the date from which your 6 month timeline starts.

Thanks Cansha! yeah hopefully it will sail through smoothly. Good thing about Montreal is that we dont have only PPR to wait for. We have other things as well like wait for GCMS notes, an update from Ralph, calls to CIC etc to keep us engaged :D
More importantly, that thread which keeps giving hopes with a PPR now and then. Thanks to you and everyone on the forum :)

I just received my GCMS notes. I am trying to understand the process through which a file goes. Can anyone send me the link where I can read this or else briefly describe.

I my last page of the report, there are comments by case analyst, who has mentioned "REVIEW REQUIRED" for an employment period but at the same time written eligibility, criminality as recommended pass. Also on the first page of the report Eligibilty is Recommend Passes, Security and criminality not started, Due date Nov 14.

Can anyone interpret this and guide me.

Thanks

First step: Program Assistant - Checks all your documents are in place also called as R10 completeness check. The date of this check is when your 6 month clock starts. This is most probably Note 2 in your detailed notes towards the end of GCMS notes file.

Second Step: Case Analyst: This guy will verify documents and recalculate your FSW and CRS score. He will also validate employment and POF documents. At the end he will determine the eligibility and will set eligibility as recommended pass or review required.

Then an actual visa officer will look at the file and initiate security checks. Once all that happens your file gets approved. The security check sometimes run in parallel too.

Check in your notes where was your eligibility done. If your eligibility is recommended pass then there is nothing to worry.
