Any August applicant is asked for biometrics?

I am the PA from Bangladesh, which is in Asia. I have received the biometric (payment receipt) request through an email, a month after submitting my application to Sydney.
Here’s my timeline:

Application recieved in Sydney: 7th August.
Biometric (payment receipt) request: 7th September.
Biometric payment receipt submitted: 25th September.
Biometric (payment receipt) received confirmation: 29th September.

No response after that. Still waiting for AOR. Are there still any possibilities for my application to b returned or something? I don’t mind waiting, even though it’s hard. I just don’t want my application to get returned and this complete waste of past few months.

Thank you! Such a stressful process it is, even now waiting for the copr. So, PA is from Greece, Sponsor is a Canadian Citizen by birth but we both live outside Canada. We've only been to Canada twice for holiday. Hope your file to move along fast as well

Hi, does anyone know for filling in the IRCC webform, should it be the principal applicant asking for the enquiry? I am the sponsor but they won't let me to enquire the processing status, they require me to fill in the representative form...

Yes. You do have to send in the representative form. Or you can simply ask in name of the applicant.

Appreciate it! I've lived in Canada for 5 years. Met my wife who is canadian born. We got married a month before my visa expired.
Right now I've got my AoR after 70 days, got RPRF, PCC request and got medical request yesterday. SA is already approved. Hopefully goes fast

Usually, it's DM for sponsor and then MR! After AOR, we got Sponsor Decision Made email and after two days we got the Med. Req. as well. But I have read herein that in some cases it was processed the other way around.

Thanks for you reply. Just I was wondering he already did biometric for visitor application, should it be done again?

If the PA is from Europe, Middle East and Africa, they've started requiring biometrics since July 31 of this year. PAs from Asia, Asia Pacific, and Americas will be starting on December 31.

That is what i thought. My PA is from Vietnam and the application was submitted in the 1st week of August. Still got a req from IRCC after 2 months to make the bio-metric payment and submit receipt via webform. Not sure what the disconnect is here.
