Like i said above, if you are applying from Pakistan and you have gone for upfront medical, then it doesn't mean much. Background checks are conducted after you pass the eligibility (though this will not be reflected on the online portal). Once you pass it, they request medical from you and if you have already given medical before applying then there is no way of telling about what is on the mind of the visa officer. Background checks can take 1 to 3 months as they are conducted by outside agencies so have patience if they take time though you can always send a case specific inquiry if they take too long but i would advise to wait if it hasn't been like 3 months.But I checked on a website and this status means that you are very close to get passport request.. Now I don't know either it is right or wrong... It is IP2 stage and after that you'll get an answer..
Chances of rejection are still there??
