Based on the posts above does special unit mean security screening or is that unclear too? @bootsal @cian are u in security screening?
Did u have review required in ur gcms notes?

I actually don't know. I asked them via IRCC webform and they replied to me that my application is sent to a special unit and additional delay will be their.

And no my last GCMS doesnt have review required. I ordered them in Mar 2018.

Their is no method to their madness. I got my PPR after 16 months recently. No extra checks or anything. Dont know why they took so time. I just submitted my passport yesterday.

So hang on and be patient. Your turn will come shortly.

Nope, until June the last time I received gcms notes, it doesnt specify any such thing...my security was updated in Feb and that's all I have.

Upfront medical passed June 2017
BG IP2 since feb 2018
Redo of medicals requested on 27 July
Medicals done and uploaded by my hospital on 9 August 2018
Till date the ecas medicals says “we didn’t receive the results of required medical exam, check form”
Although confirmations sent to LVO DELHI AND CPC OTTAWA regarding uptake of medical.. CPC Ottawa acknowledge the receipt of proof of medical done but no reply from LVO ....
almost 20 months into this
Any advice from seniors

It means they (lvo )haven'ttouched your file since your meds are uploaded. Do not worry, they will eventually process it. For now other than waiting I don't see anything much you can do.
I am sure you must have ordered GCMS to see how it's progressing.

My I too submitted my documents on 31 May 2017 and just got CoPR recently. I was requested remedical too. After remedical it took 4 months for them. Nothing much we can do other than waiting as they dont reply to any of our queries. So just hang in tight. Dont depend on the status in the mycic account as they dont seem to update it. My status remained the same after remedicals. Even after CoPR the status didnt change. So dont worry. The fruit would be more sweet after a long patient wait.

Have they asked you to re-do your medical? We have been waiting for full 18 months. We are in the same boat and hopefully we hear the good news soon.
