Hello,
I want to apply for PR as primary applicant and add my spouse as a dependent. My wife's currently studying in Canada and her visa is expiring end of February 2019. She would like to apply in mid-November for an extension (until March/May 2019). She would also want to apply for a co-op visa at the end of the study if we don't get the PR in time. I'm are wondering if there would be problems in approving either Visas or PR since we would have both running at the same time. This would be the likely timeline:
- My wife applies for Student Visa extension in Mid November 2018
- I submit PR application as primary applicant and add her as dependent in mid December 2018
- If we don't get the PR by March/April: My wife applies also for the Co-op Visa
So as you can see, we would have both applications running at the same time. Is it better to wait to apply for the PR before the student visa gets approved? I looked at the Dual Intention, and it seems fine, especially since she would only be the dependent and not primary applicant of the PR, but wanted to get a second opinion first.
Thanks in advance for your input,
