Thx.. wish same for u.
Strange to see that August 9 applicant got medical on 26 june and August 16 got medical on may 3.
I am not sure but there might be a reason for that...my spouse is here on work permit but her work permit was issued last year so she still has valid medical...thats y they didn't ask for her medical....

hi guys, I have a question. Those who applied in land and got PPR, after you sent the passport as required to CIC, then they will send you back PR Card and that's it right?

After you send your passport, they send it back with CoPR, you need to do landing at the border (Exit the country) and when you re-enter then the process of PR card takes another 6-8 weeks to come.

Yes you just need to go to the nearest border (e.g- US border), tell them you are doing landing for PR, you exit from one side and re-enter into Canada side, since you don't have US Visa. If you have US Visa, process is still the same, just if you want to spend time in states and then come back to Canadian side.
Or if you have a trip planned outside Canada, still the process remain same, when you fly back, you do landing at the airport.

If you are not close to any border, then you might think about calling CIC and see if you might do landing at some immigration office, I think, not 100% sure.
If I am wrong anywhere, experts may please correct.

Thank you, that sounds insane. Since I live in Ottawa, I may have to go to Niagara Falls or call Ottawa Immigration office. Do you know how long we usually get COPR after PPR?

Yes people usually go to Niagara falls from Ottawa.

Are you asking in how many days we get CoPR and passport back or how many days we get to do the landing?

Well, I was asking for the former but since you are very knowledgeable about these process, I assume you know the answer to both. Would be great if you can share :p

It usually takes 1-2 weeks to get CoPR back, if there are not any delays for any reason (like we are seeing the Canada post strike now)
But I am not sure about the number of days we get for landing- will be a minimum of 30 days to 6 months is my guess, but definitely need somebody's advise on it. If for some reason you are not able to do landing in the given time period you can always contact CIC with a valid reason proof and ask for extension.
