Yes, there is a specific reason. The longer the visit duration, the weaker the ties to the home country.

IMO, your parents have a 'will-just-make-it' kind of chance of TRV approvals. In fact, I would suggest applying only for your mom to increase the chances of a TRV approval.

They don't have strong ties + no strong financials + no travel history. You really would want to state a visit of 3-4 weeks (and include the detailed day-by-day plan for their visit).

All said and done:
1. Visa validity won't be the same as the visit duration stated in the application
2. CBSA will decide how long someone should be allowed to stay = The length of the visit stated in the application becomes irrelevant at the POE
3. Most parents tend to stay longer than what they indicated in their TRV applications
Hi Bryanna,

Thank you so much for your advice, directions and patience regarding my parents' TRV application. I am glad to inform you they both picked up their passport with 4 years visa two weeks ago.

Thank you so much for the info. Regarding the payment - the document list states that you must give the "fee payment in acceptable format", then goes on that "Visa offices do not accept payment receipts from Canadian banks.". Does this mean that I can't pay from Canada at all, or can I pay on the government visa website? Or do I have to send the money to KG to allow payment from there?

Hi

I have a concern and really appreciate your response on this.

I have applied for my parents Super vIsa. Received Medical request and my mom passed the exam but my dad received a letter form RMO Delhi for further medical test. He did as instructed and the physician confirmed that the report has been sent to CIC. It's been 8 days since the physician confirmed. No update yet.

Could you please provide me any idea how long it may take?

Thanks for your reply.

Thanks Bryanna for getting back on this.

Need to tell in details....My dad went to the same PP for further medical that he went though in his 1st medical exam. The PP referred him to IOM.
IOM took the additional test with Sputum (the physician from IOM confirmed that the test result will not take 65/70 days, he will get the result by the next day and eventually that happened as well).

My dad got a call from the PP (the one who tested first time and referred to IOM) that they have received the report from IOM and sent the report on October 17.

Please let me know if you need any further details to share your knowledge.

Again thanks for your reply.

walera . congrats . i read all of your post on this topic. i am on almost same sitution . I am planning to applying my mother super visa after she got rejected TRV.I have few questions . I meet income requirements for 5 people ( me ,spouse and 2 kids ) not for six . And my dad don't want to come .only so I'm only applying for mom at this point. So I have questions . Does mom need to provide her proof of financial status . Coz every thing has under my father name?. It's super visa not trv!?!

Your dad was tested for TB. These tests can take time. IRCC/panel physician can request for additional tests and/or a course of medicines if there is a reason for concern or just to be double sure there's no reason for concern.

There's nothing you can do. Do keep checking the 'Medicals' status. He will hopefully get a passport request in a couple of weeks after he passes these medical tests

Hi mannual,

Super visa is different from TRV. With super visa your mum can get up to 10 years visa and can stay up to 2 years on her first visit, while with TRV she can only stay for 6 months on her first visit.

If you are applying for super visa your mum doesn't have to provide a proof of financial income, yours should cover for her, but you must meet LICO for 6 people.

You may also direct your questions to Bryanna, he is mum of an expert in these areas. thank you. :)
