I was just wondering can PA do medical before getting a request from cic so that we can submit it right away when they ask and since medical is valid for 1 year ?? Or it has to be done after the date they send us request to submit medical? It's been 2 months since cic received our app but we haven't got Aor yet so will it be wise to do medical in advance as it may sometimes take few days or weeks to make an appointment for medical in India ...

I dont see no harm in doing it. However I am pretty sure they ask for an application number, its worth a shot but all that would do (i.e if it works) is cut down the time by a week or 2 max, which is not a lot when you are a part of a broken process that takes 12 months !!!

You can no longer do upfront medical exam... Check this page and I quote:
Are you applying to sponsor your spouse, partner or child?
A new application process for the spousal sponsorship program came into effect on December 15, 2016. Spouses, partners or dependent children can no longer do an upfront medical exam. Wait for our instructions before going for your medical exam.

Most, if not all, panel physicians require a medical request form now, as far as I know.

August applicants are starting to get their AORs now. I saw about 10 people getting theirs today so far. Yours should come soon too.

Anyone’s file received in second week of August got AOR? It’s more than 2 months for me I got nothing yet...

I have submitted application on August 20 - Since then no response. I have moved and updated my address on IRCC. Its been over two months. I am worried what if they have sent it back? Do they email that they have sent it back? No update on Online tool.

Did you receive your AOR yet? Is your PA from India?

Quick Update:

my ecas status shows Decision Made under Sponsorship Application Status, however I cannot for the love of god link the application on GC Key.

The information to be provided is about my spouse right? What is everyone selecting ? I locked myself out and cant do anything for 24 hours.

Hi everyone,

We applied in July but our rep sent the file to Mississauga and Sydney received our application on August 16. We got an AOR yesterday and it has both the app and uci number on it. Anyone know what the next step and how long it takes for the next step. Thanks guys!

we got the same email on oct 19 and our rep forwarded it to us today. but our case is very different compared to everyone else.
