My mom came to Canada as a visitor with multiple entry visitor visa in March 2018, this is her third time visiting us, CBSA officers entered a stamp when she entered in March 2018. After 2-3 months, she went to visit my sister in USA but she had to stay there for 2 months due to some family reasons and while she returned to Canada in August 2018, they didn't' affix any stamp at the airport, so that means, she can still stay in Canada for 6 months from August 2018 or she has to leave after 6 months from first entry in March 2018. Kindly advice ?

Even though there is no entry stamp ?
I disagree. CBSA can chose to either stamp her passport again or allow her back into Canada based on her original arrival date/visit. Looks to me like they did the latter - so she has six months from March IMO. If they had re-stamped her passport, she would have six months from that date.

That's why it confuses us but when my wife called CIC, they told she can stay here for 6 more months from August but we don't have any proof with us if they ask in future !

they must have entry and exit stamps or I-94 or something from US. If you send mail to cbsa they would provide records for entry and exit as per passport. Not sure about that I number but there should be something of that sort.
