Hello All.

** Need a Help**

I just got an email stating that I did not med minimum income criteria. I had applied for my parents and my income was over for sponsoring 2 people. They have calculated my income for 4 people and based on 4 people they have rejected my application.

Does anyone know, how to they count minimum income criteria ?

Thanks

Are you single? Are you only sponsoring ONLY 1 of your parents? (mother or father?)

If it's NO for either of the questions, then you cannot have family size of 2.

Did you misunderstand how to calculate family size for LICO?

It's your current family size + the sponsored parents (+ dependents.. but I guess you do not have any from what you posted. )

When I applied for it. I was married bot living alone in canada and I've applied for my father and mother. So based on that I have calculated my family size for 3 people. I was above the LICO.

What can i do next.

You are married so your spouse must be included in the family income. Doesn't matter if they are not living in Canada.

Then you fill-in the form incorrectly. They didn't ask if your spouse live with you or not. Just if you are married. You have to count your spouse regardless of where he/she lives.

Ottawa received my application on August 15, 2018. I called them, they told me not even open package yet.
