Do you have a copy of it? IRCC has requested a copy of all passports that cover your eligibility period. I believe you can apply with an explanation and some sort of proof that your passport was lost.

Not to scare you, but lost passports have a higher chance of resulting in RQs (residence questionnaires), especially if you do not have a copy of all pages/stamps.

I lost my passport too a year ago but i provided an explaination.in the application form. I also attached the police report that i filed when i came to know about the loss. Luckily, i had scan copy of the loss passport that i sent along with my application. I am november applicant so i dont know the outcome.

Unfortunately I dont have copy of full passport, I have only copy of two scanned pages. But I have police report.

Well if those two scanned pages are the bio pages, should submit them with your application. During the interview, they will ask to see the originals, and depending on the officer may or may not give you an RQ. Even if they do, it won't be a full blown RQ, probably just RQ-lite.

At this point, all you can do is apply with what you have, provide a good explanation, also supply a copy of the police report, and hope for the best. Good luck

Hello @jsingh89 ,

all went well in my case. I had police certificate with me and i did mentioned about my lost passport during the time of application. Fortunately, i had scan copy of my lost passport (not all pages though) which was ok. The officer told me that she will ask for my entry/exit report from CBSA to further varify, however, she mentioned that it wont take longer. Less than a week after my interview, a decision was made.

I had similar situation, applied last October, passport got stolen this past August and went for test 2 week ago. I didn't have the scan of all pages, only up to the date I applied for PR, so just brought those pages for interview along with police report. Most of my trips after getting PR were between US and Canada so I printed I94 which was accepted by officer during interview. Officer kept scanned copy of passport, police report as well as my I94 records. Application changed to DM 5 days after test. Oath invitation received today. Hope this helps.

No update on my Application since June 5th. My eCas status is showing:

I’m waiting for my test date. I’ll update here when I write my test.
