Guys,
My Decision has been made after my interview last week. I've to travel for a quick trip and need to apply for the visa. There is a fair chance it might take weeks to get the visa. Do I need my passport for anything till I get my OATH or is my current passport is of any further use for the citizenship process?

Dear form members.
My office is Scarborough. My ecas changed to decision made on 20th September 2018.but I am still waiting for oath cermoney.how many months more I will be waiting for invitations.

Other ppl saying ave. 3 to 4 months ... they try to be in 12 months except some cases.

I would say 5 times in total since i came to Canada 10 years ago. 3 of them were after becoming PR in 2013

My test was on June 7th, but they received my application on Jan. 29th. You have to take into consideration when you applied. Compare with people who applied during the same period not the date of the test..Good Luck

Called for interview and exam on July 2nd, date of exam August 3rd 2018
Am aware of somebody who sat the test on the same day and already called for oath on Oct 26th
so that got me a little worried hence my question

Hello everyone,
It's been a while. I hope Scarborough is doing better.
Just an update, I applied for my Canadian passport this week, October 9th at rhe Whitby Passport Office and just received it in the mail. That means regular application took just 3 days. I was informed of this office by a friend. The good thing is that they also open on Saturdays although I heard that there a long line on Saturdays.

Another thing to note is that we were in and out in 20 minutes when we went to submit.

Hi,
As per messages on this forum, the average app process time from Received to Oath is around 10-11 or maybe 12 months, however, there are some who had Oath earlier.

IRCC processing system is basically a mystery. Infact I must add this, their processing system is outdated, they work on actual paper files, you might have seen this at the Test and interview.
For instance, my app was sent December 2017, received on January 8th, DM in July and no Oath yet.

BTW, The usual answer from the call centre is and I quote " You are still within your 12-month processing time".

Good Luck to us and let's hang in there and not stress out, it will come eventually.

I did the test with you at the same date. Application received Jan 27th. Still waiting and now it's even harder to wait . Hope to get the oath at the same date too.

I'm still waiting for DM and oath ceremony, I sent web form and after 5 days received and they told me "confirm that my application is still in process.
We will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.".
So does anyone have any idea ?
